  1. I feel like their reports on some guys are very outdated and that completely miss on certain prospects. Just feels like Future Sox, Baseball America, & Callis / Pipeline have better real-time info.
  2. I enjoy seeing their take on things, but I generally view Fangraphs as being the least knowledgeable out of the major publications.
  3. What is Jerry thinking right now? Dude is 86 years old and watching the team flop despite a franchise high payroll. At some point he’s got to run out of the patience. The question is who does he blame for this mess? Hahn? Tony? The players? Personally, I think he’s so infatuated with Tony there is zero chance he would ever consider canning him. That leaves a front office shakeup or simply pointing fingers at the players through Stone Pony. My guess is probably the latter and we all suffer at the hands of La Russa’s epically bad managing.
  4. Tony is not going to fire himself unfortunately.
  5. Unless you’re certain he’ll have to move to 1B, I think we’d regret it. He was quite good last year offensively for his age with a bum shoulder and is starting to really show his offensive ceiling now healthy. I really think the bat can be special. The bat speed and raw power are legit IMO. All comes down can he stick at 3B and based on my brief time watching him and scouting reports it feels greater than 50% he can. To me he’s a hold because I see his prospect status exponentially increasing with a promotion to AA and any sort of success.
  6. Why are you guys still watching this shit-show? I hate to be that guy, but no chance they score six in two innings with the way this offense is going.
  7. It really is. Unfortunately I have a bad feeling he could be used as a centerpiece to address our pitching needs at some point this season.
  8. The offense will self correct at some point
  9. Probably safe to say our pitching depth is not good…lol
  10. I agree that the offense wakes up, but I’ll refrain from any predictions about Dallas other than he’ll likely blame his teammates if things go south.
  11. Another idea would be just six pictures of La Russa in the banner. That alone might force his exit and save the season.
  12. Awesome news. And Sosa should get a lot more playing time at SS / 2B as a result.
  13. Yaz!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Please Grandal save us!!
  15. Terrible at-bat
  16. Tim gets the job done at least. Pollock needs to get Mendick in now.
  17. Colas 2/5 with a 2B & K.
  18. At least we got the top of the lineup. Is Mendick going to be on 2nd?
  19. This team just wants to give this game away.
  20. Probably going to be a two inning appearance for him and I’m fine with that.
  21. Very true.
  22. Groundball city! Glad Menechino has done nothing since last season.
  23. “3 groundouts for Leury so far today” - not sure if I should laugh or cry
