What is your trade proposal for Turner? I don’t see how we get him without disrupting the major league roster.

Turner is a luxury we unfortunately can’t afford. Escobar still remains the most likely 2B addition and the rest of our chips should be used on the pen.

5.2 years of Vaughn has to be worth more than Turner at this point, but I agree it’s not enough and that’s because we nothing after our established young major leaguers that is highly valuable. That’s the problem when you have zero top 100 prospects.

Good left-handed relievers are little harder to come by and Chafin is dirt cheap which is probably super valuable to the A’s. That being said, good relievers aren’t going to come super cheap it appears.

He’s slightly overpaid in terms of AAV for what he’s going to give you, but as long as team limits his innings next year you can avoid the real problem that will likely be 2023.

If were willing to roll the dice, we should consider trading Keuchel right now while there is a complete lack of starters available and a ton of teams desperate for pitching. Not going to happen, but that Keuchel contract is going to ugly in the not too distant future and maybe as soon as next year.

Why are you skeptical about adding an OF?

There is zero chance we don’t make multiple additions. Worst case scenario, we add one reliever and backup IF. More likely, we add a starting 2B and two relievers. Not totally out of the question is an OF on top of all that.

I don’t get what you’re arguing at this point. Hosmer sucks balls and the Padres are likely looking to trade prospects away in hopes of some teams absorbing a sizable portion of his albatross contract. Is this all because he was a former Royal?
