Any time this team wants to stop sucking would be fine with me. -

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) Way way way more than that. Pretty sure about 5 if I remember. And he does! 98 pitches through 9! Spectacular. Looking at it now, it appears to be 4 points. -

I think we just lowered Mitch Talbot's ERA 2 points. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:44 PM) It's Friday night. Can't you guys go find something better to do if this one is over? I'm not giving up hope on it yet. I just find it a little funny that you would mention how bad their bullpen is without considering our offense. -

QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:42 PM) Neither is our offense... And neither is Mitch Talbot for that matter. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:42 PM) Game is hardly over. Cleveland's bullpen isn't exactly stellar. Neither is our offense... -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:34 PM) Fixed. I'm not losing much sleep over taking the bat out of Juan Pierre's hands. -

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:29 PM) You are mistaken . The post that started this off was one that said getting Gonzales wouldn't help , to which I posted "how absurd". Well the actual post I was commenting on had a quote from him saying how this offense would be terrible. I do see where the conversation started now. -

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:25 PM) We haven't hit much but we're in almost every game so adding a bat like Gonzales wouldn't help ? That's absurd. If I'm not mistaken, you quoted a post from him where he talked about how he knew this offense would be horrible. I agree that adding Gonzalez would be huge for this line up. -

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:15 PM) So you say the same thing , over and over about how bad the Sox are. You're a knowledgeable poster and have influenced many a poster into a more negative approach. As season is a marathon not a sprint. The pitching is great and the offense isn't . So what else is new ? It's not like the offense has done anything to prove him remotely wrong thus far. I'm not exactly saying we should all be pessimists, but it didn't exactly take a genius to see that the offense would not be very good coming into the season. Even the most optimistic posters were talking about it being "good enough." Doesn't exactly inspire much confidence. -

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:06 PM) Doing it manually.... Opening day - 6 runs - 3 from HR 4/7 - 3 runs - 2 from HR 4/8 - 3 runs - 2 from HR 4/9 - 3 runs - 0 from HR 4/10 - 1 run - 0 from HR 4/11 - 5 runs - 4 from HR 4/12 - 8 runs - 4 from HR 4/13 - 2 runs - 2 from HR 4/14 - 11 runs - 5 from HR 4/15 - 3 runs - 3 from HR 4/16 - 1 run - 1 from HR Total - 56 runs - 26 from HR = 46% of our runs are from HR. Thanks. Thought it would be a bit higher, actually. It just seems like we only score via the home run. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:02 PM) No kidding, Pierre's basically useless without his speed. Probably the worst everyday starter in baseball if he can't be an extremely above-average runner. But, but he's a lifetime .300 hitter! -

Anybody know what percentage of our runs have been scored off of home runs? -
QUOTE (Ranger @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 12:56 PM) Well, first, we don't know that for sure. You would think he would test teh market, but you never really know. It all depends on what he deems to be important at the time. Second, I think it's wrong to assume that KW would trade all of the farm's best prospects for one player if he didn't have a pretty good idea they would be able to lock him up beyond the current contract. Considering how much he will cost, it isn't exactly a ridiculous assumption. I think KW is well aware that he can't afford him without severely hampering the team, unless JR finds a couple hundred million lying around somewhere, of course.

Does this mean Danks is actually going to get some run support this year?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 02:23 PM) TWSS That's what she said?

Buehrle also had the extra day off, which I'm sure Ozzie took into consideration. With the way he was rolling, it was the right call to put him back out there in the 8th with a short leash.

Thank God he came in to pinch run for PK.

QUOTE (Real @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) They'll ask for the world if they're smart, which they are. If you seriously think Hudson is the dealbreaker, you don't know KW very well, sheesh Value your prospects, dont overvalue them Let's not forget that Freddy is no sure thing.

Brandon Allen, who?
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) Our batters should close their eyes and swing real hard. Wait, you mean they haven't been doing this all along?

Omar Vizquel walk off homer. You heard it here first.
