Does anyone notice that Stone is saying stuff that Hawk would normally say? -
So amped for Rodon!

Quick Question: Does anyone know whether the White Sox are extending protective netting from dugout to dugout (home plate ends of the dugout) or dugout to dugout (ending at first base and third base)? I've been trying to figure this out. But all I see about the Cell is that netting will be "dugout to dugout" which is unclear. I see that in KC they have extended netting to first base and third base... Hoping the white sox do the same. Thanks!

I got absolutely demolished on this board for posting my Chicago Front Office Rankings. I put the Bulls FO last behind the Blackhawks, Cubs, Bears, and Sox. Those rankings look pretty accurate now don't they? Also, I wonder where all the people are who were hating on my "The Bulls' biggest problem is John Paxson and Gar Forman" thread. The Paxson apologists have nothing else to say. Out of excuses for a mediocre player who made a couple of clutch shots riding the coattails of the greatest of all time. 15+ years of mediocre/garbage basketball. Can't wait for White Sox baseball to start up in a few weeks...

So whats the lineup going to be? Eaton Jackson Abreu Frazier Melky Laroche Lawrie Navarro Rollins Or does Jackson bat 7?

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 10:38 PM) Honestly Ozz, I agree with you. I don't know if more people here simply are not concentrated on the Bulls and it's just a novelty like "Oh, the Bulls are good, let's check out a game. Ah, the Bulls are bad. Well who cares. BEARS!!" around here. Anyone who's paid attention knows GarPax needs to be fired. Even the local media has turned on them. Thanks nitetrain you the man.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Dude, you need to stop trolling. We understand you hate the front office, there is nothing else that needs to be said And you like the front office? Heck of a trade today huh? Had they made the Gasol deal, at least they would have made SAC better, therefore making it more likely they get Kings' first round pick.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 09:47 PM) Eddy Curry trade says hi. I'm wondering if you still stand by the below exchange? QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 11:39 AM) * Front office rankings in Chicago (in terms of which teams have the best chance to win it all). Which is how a front office should be judged. 1) Blackhawks 2) Cubs 3) Bears 4) White Sox 5) Bulls Quinarvy : "Lol. Bears should be fifth and Bulls second."

Soxtalk: "Paxson is a great executive." "What did you want them to do?" "This is on Gar not pax" Rest of world: Paxson and Forman are morons

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) If I would say there is a zero percent chance of the Bulls getting Okafor, would it be considered too optimistic? I would bet my life savings* that the Bulls couldn't pull off something that bold. *All $29.38 of it.

Rumor out there that the Bulls are discussing Jahlil Okafor with 76ers. I have no idea who the Bulls could trade other than Butler to net Okafor.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 09:08 AM) When I went to the actual article i was notified that I had just used one of my 10 monthly digital content articles. And just typing the guys name and company isnt crediting the article, you need to provide a link. This isnt a college thesis, it is your personal grudge. Credit correctly Eh, not surprised you found something wrong with my post. Considering it doesn't align with your viewpoints...And you are right, this isn't a college thesis...this is a white sox message board...don't be such a jerk.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 08:19 AM) come on ozzfest, you cant post full articles with no link. I think that is paywall digital content to boot It was not premium content. That's why I posted it. And I credited the article to Rosenbloom and it said Chicago Tribune.

Bulls trade deadline rule: Either Pau Gasol and others leave — or John Paxson and Gar Forman do http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/rosenblog/ So the Bulls look like they’ve already lost the offseason, too.

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 09:10 AM) If your "cause" is to continually bash a group or individual by repeatedly bumping a thread, that's a personal attack. Thus, it can be dealt with by the mods due to the board's rules. How is dragging someone continually through the mud, "useful?" Show me an admin on this board that wants Paxson fired. All of the admins are in Paxson's corner. The thread was closed. Convenient way of shutting down a conversation that you guys don't want to have. I basically wrote a small article the other day with a lot of insightful facts. The thread was not to troll anyone. It was to advocate the firing of a Chicago front office guy who SHOULD absolutely be on the hot seat. It wasn't like I was posting that stuff in Pale Hose Talk. I was posting information within the appropriate thread. Yesterday, I posted the following comment which prompted an admin, who happens to be a big Paxson supporter to blow the whistle and shut the entire thread down: Here is the comment that shut the thread down: "Here is a quote from Kevin Garnett on why he never wanted to play for the Bulls..."If they crapped on the best player in the game, then why would I want to go there? I just felt like...Chicago the management there...its all about them...unfortunately players win championships...not management" Players are again probably noticing how the Bulls treated Thibs and Noah...When players see Pax they know what he did to Vinny...They aren't going to get any FA's for a loooong time." Posting a quote like that is interesting to sports fans. And especially relevant in a thread when discussing Bulls management.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 08:45 AM) That thread was discussed by the admin/mod staff, and we decided as a group to close it. Q is just the one who closed it. We do look at each thread posted on this site, and take actions for the ones that need it. The only thing that thread was there for was constant bumping of it looking to troll people. It served no useful purpose at all, and that is why it was closed. Anymore personal attacks will be dealt with accordingly. If you would like to deal with this deeper, you can always send a PM. I guess "useful purpose" on Soxtalk is defined as whether mods agree with the cause...

Mods, I would like to put a formal complaint on record that Quinarvy literally CLOSED a relevant sports thread because he disagreed with the topic. If you read the thread it is filled with well thought out discussion. He hated the thread the moment it opened. Quinarvy, you are an infant. What is so controversial about having a fire John Paxson thread in a Chicago sports forum? Doesn't surprise me. Many meathead Chicago fans are so nostalgic about Paxson because he was on the Jordan Bulls that they refuse to believe he sucks at being an executive.

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman

Here is a quote from Kevin Garnett on why he never wanted to play for the Bulls..."If they crapped on the best player in the game, then why would I want to go there? QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 12, 2016 -> 03:51 PM) Rubio was supposed to be next level, the hype behind him was pretty big. GMs make mistakes, look at Memphis blowing their pick on Hasheem Thabeet before Minnesota or GS picked. And this isnt even the GM that Ozzfest is hanging this on, this is the ASSISTANT GM, who is now a head coach. Its just silly. I get he doesnt like GarPaxBerg but goddamn I have no problem with Hoiberg as coach. People who think John Paxson should keep his job are bothersome.
