  1. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 01:46 PM) R.I.P. George I will always remember him being portrayed on Seinfeld...awesome character on that show. Silly as it sounds that's the first thing I thought of too....that's the only way I "knew" him I guess. Either way, obviously a huge loss to baseball. RIP
  2. I'm off like the fat girls prom dress....I'll hear the rest from Farmio and DJ. As always, thanks for the updates and GO YOU WHITE SOX!!
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 08:07 PM) Konerko flys out deep and foul to left. Sounds like the boys are T-ing off against the almighty Chen.
  4. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 07:55 PM) Anyone think we won't score again??? HA! I wouldn't take a $20 bet on 20-1 that says we don't score again!
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) Not only has Gordon been bad, but he's also been extremely unlucky. Evidenced by that ball that was just foul. Yeah, .200 is .200....but he's had some shots either go foul or just hang up for the outfielders all season long. Dad Gummit!!
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) Smoked foul by Bacon. Thanks for the updates...stuck at work still
  7. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 07:48 PM) Close but no cigar . That'll work!
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 07:04 PM) Nice effort, Liriano Yeah, doesn't look like 1st place will be ours.....yet.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) you couldnt throw a 2-0 curve for a strike to thomas back then. he hit it out every time It seems like every home game he took one out in the first inning. If I came home in the 2nd and hadn't heard anything, but the score was 2-0 there was no doubt in my mind that Ray singled and The Big Hurt roped one half way to the concourse.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 09:42 AM) I want to see a healthy Jake Peavy. This ^^
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 10:46 AM) All of those are very good omens. We made the playoffs every one of those years. Good stuff for sure. Big Hurt and his 1st inn HR's...man I miss watching him play.
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) With the way the team is playing, we gotta sweep the Royals. 11 games over at the break? My goodness. I'd like to add the word "mercy" to this post....thank you!
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) f*** you, Reggie Willits! I still can't believe you are white LMAO
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) Castro punked him with the bubblegum cup hat trick. How'd I know... Watching the other night and a buddy pointed out to me that Castro has a man-sized jaw. Would not want to meet him in a dark alley, tho his demeanor seems more like Billy Madison than Brock Lesnar.
  15. QUOTE (kristofer @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 01:43 PM) lol at don cooper What'd Coop do?
  16. why would you want to trade for someone that is pitching like s***? QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 01:10 PM) Because he is much better than what he is pitching right now, and his value "should" be low right now. Get him on the cheap and see if he can turn back into form. Remember Alex Rios? Had a good track record, had one bad year, we got him on the cheap, and now he is back to dominant. And then we would have another player to give a nickname to!
  17. QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 12:16 PM) The great thing about 4@Min coming out of the break is that we'll have the big four ready to go, in any order. We save Hudson for the anemic Seattle offense, with their bottom of the barrel park factor. His second start will also be @Oakland, a losing team, and another bottom park factor. His 3rd start would be home vs. that same Athletics team, who btw has just a .699 team OPS. You do have to run him out @Detroit for the four game series, even with the day off, because of the double-header makeup, but it's ANOTHER pitcher's park. After that, his next start would be @Baltimore, which is obviously a brutal team, and another sub .700 team OPS. If form holds, after that it would be vs. Det, vs. Bal, @ Cle... All losing teams with the exception of the two detroit games...I know he may tank completely in the majors, but relatively speaking, you couldn't have asked for a better schedule alignment than this for a questionable fifth starter slot. So by this logic I will be seeing Hudson pitch on Mullet night (July 30th vs A's)?? I like it. Pretty sure I've seen all the rest....except for Peavy
  18. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:12 AM) I'm just being sarcastic. I've only been drunk once in 4 years. =) Thanks for the complement btw. I think it's amazing that you can even type at the tender age of 4.
  19. I blame this entire thing on whoever created the Peavy SoxTalk calendar this year instead of jinxing just one player per month. Really tho, I think we're ok without him. Nobody wants to see a guy like that go down, but better now than in Sept when we're 2 games up and fighting off the Twins and Tigers
  20. QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 05:52 PM) Still worried about Weaver's lifetime 4-0 record with an 0.52 career ERA against the Sox. Don't be skeert I'm not...and neither are ANY of the 9 that Oz chooses to put out there. This team is rollin.
  21. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 12:33 PM) I don't think we should stop. Alternatively, I propose that we get it, get it. LOL...and you still have my fav sig on the site! Let's GO JFP!!
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 02:05 AM) Well technically this is Saturday son, so you fail. Welp...I guess u got me, but I think the point remains the same. Get it, get it, dont stop
  23. Oh.....the game's not til tomorrow?? Either way...
  24. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:29 AM) Lewis is one of their best starters Meatballs Kotsay Lexi Rios Swead Fred Thats just how it is.
