  1. I think if the Sox can some way some how SWEEP the twins when they get here that things would be VERY interesting going down the stretch.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 24, 2010 -> 07:19 AM) This is the reason why right here: Sox are 7-4 vs. DET, but Cabrera, Damon & Coke have all won World Series, so they don't want it as much any more Sox are 8-7 vs. KC, but they had Podsednik for a while and his WS ring makes them care a little less Sox are 4-8 vs. CLE, and no one their roster has ever won a WS so they obviously just try harder than the Sox do Sox are 5-10 vs. MIN, Carl Pavano has won a ring, but he's only one starting pitcher, so the other players still want it more than the Sox Lets also disregard these facts: - Only 6 players on the Sox 25-man roster (24%) have even won a World Series - The Sox had a winning record vs. the Central every season from 2002-2008 (best division record in 2008) - They played their 12 games vs. CLE all before they started their winning streak, back when they were losing to everyone Hahaha good post! I loled..
  3. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 23, 2010 -> 08:49 AM) And I hope he's right. I'm not sure the Sox can get back on top, but having a bat better than Kotsay's right now would be sweet. That's what I'm saying. I said I hope he is wrong about Mark Kotsay being the DH.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 23, 2010 -> 07:49 AM) The Sox could have had either of them already, and unless Manram gives you a 1.200 OPS the rest of the way, having the other guy in the lineup for the extra 2 weeks would have made even more of a difference. We're not adding a bat. Mark Kotsay is our DH. End of discussion. Eh... I hope you're wrong. Apparently Steve Stone is saying that something big might happen this week.
  5. I wonder if LaRoche or Damon is KWs backup plan if the Manny thing doesn't pan out? If the Sox fall 7 games out, I don't think the Sox will be adding anything.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) I've felt worse. I don't feel that bad about this one. It seems like the Sox can't buy a run. And Jenks coming out for another inning? Oh wait, Edwin Jackson is in the bullpen.
  7. Does anyone else have a sinking feeling about the end of this game?
  8. I agree. Losing that 1st game was bad. If we come up 2 or 3 games short, this will definitely be one of the games that'll be remembered.
  9. Don't the White Sox have any say in the matter? Who wants to start game 1 of a double header at 6 in the evening, start game 2 at around 10, then turn around and play another game at 1 in the afternoon the next day? It'll be tiring just watching that on tv.
  10. s*** might be about to hit the fan finally. I'm debating whether I should fire up the DVR.
  11. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:10 PM) helluva game for paulie Paulie a triple short of the cycle. Where would he have to hit the ball to leg out a triple?
  12. Looks like MB is done. I think we're about to see some rough housing boys.
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) Can we please bring in Pena or Linebrink to plunk Young in his next at bat? Which one of them throws the hardest and has the best aim? f*** it... bring in Bobby to throw some 98mph heat at him.
  14. Hmmm... this game is getting out of hand. I wonder if it's time to see how that Rawlings feels in somebody's ear hole?
  15. Who is this new team b**** slapping the Minnesota Twins around like this?
