  1. I just paid for the MLB At Bat app for my I phone. The price went up to $14.99. Greedy rat b*****ds...
  2. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) Common gotta give us more than that pal! Explain for those who aren't watching please. COMMON is a Sox fan? He posts on SoxTalk? I know he is from Chicago but wow...
  3. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) Yeah, because I'm sure it's their call. The Score 670 can't stream Sox games. You have to pay MLB for that. I know, it sucks, right? I listen to 670 all day on my iphone. I was all excited and I completely forgot about that.
  4. QUOTE (b-Rye @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 09:48 PM) CF: Aaron Rowand/Alex Rios - Rowand all the way, nothing shows me Rios will be any better than Aaron. I disagree. I would take pure talent over grindiness any day....
  5. QUOTE (daggins @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) PABLO OZUNA AWARD: De Aza. Wouldn't it be a shock though if Lillibridge took it? Hmmm... Let's see... LILLIBRIDGE BIT**ES!!!! ??? Eh... It just doesn't flow right. I don't think we'll be seeing that in game threads too much. I don't think he'll do anything cool enough to warrant it...
  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) So who are everyone's nominees for the annual ANDERSON-FIELDS AWARD? Hopefully no one. No wait... Brian Anderson and Josh Fields of the Kansas City Royals... QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) Also there is the DANNY WRIGHT AWARD, for the pitcher who's mechanics looks clean and pitches awesome, followed by forgetting about all of that come April. Carlos Torres QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) And finally the PABLO OZUNA AWARD, for the player that comes out of nowhere, hit's .500, makes the teams and actually contributes to the big league team... Alejandro DeAza...
  7. QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 12:26 PM) BREAKING NEWS: Peavy still wants A-Gone! Smell that? Smells like it's time for another three-team trade fairytale rumor to run with SoxNot. Joe Cowley's twitter Somebody explain to me why this pathetic excuse for a journalist believes pissing off a large group of fans of the team he covers for a living is a good idea. Eh... keep in mind that this is coming from a guy that thinks that a Karate Kid marathon > Olympic hockey. He sounds totally stoked that theres a brand new karate kid movie being made. He probably sucks his thumb and sleeps in the fetal position...
  8. Man, you guys are putting an awful lot of faith on Beckham like the guy was the MVP last year.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) Yeah, I am sure that was a deep conversation... "Hey Kenny, why don't we get this guy, he is a pretty good hitter." "No s*** Jake." LOL nice...
  10. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 12:36 PM) It's the most wonderful time of the year. No it's the most anxious time of the year. See April 5th is the start of the most wonderful time of the year...
  11. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Feb 26, 2010 -> 10:24 AM) I would hold out for Albert Pujols. This is unrelated, because I know you're kidding, but just for s**** and grins I just looked up Pujols' stats again... Good God...
  12. http://crashburnalley.com/2010/02/25/why-a...de-makes-sense/ But does it make sense for the White Sox?
  13. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 09:53 PM) ESPN has become like the E! and TMZ of the sports world. They overanalyze every small aspect of anything that even has potential to be controversial. This. It's a shame. I used to LOVE ESPN too. Now it's just over sensationalized crap. Like remember that WHO'S NOW contest with T.I's Big Thangs Poppin' blaring in the background? ESPN radio 1000 is garbage as well.
  14. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) Twitter-speak is already barely intelligible, as is Ozzie. I can only imagine what abominations unto the English language will arise when you combine the two. Words cannot describe the awesomeness... Lol man we got the coolest GM and Manager in sports...
  15. QUOTE (SI1020 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 09:22 AM) I read this and thought with an exception here and there I pretty much agree with Greg all the way down the line. Does that make me a pessimist too? POSITIVELY!!! Okay I'm kidding... Is it April yet?
  16. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) Andruew Jones is really on top of things. "Why did Andruw Jones come to camp so early? He thought the whole team was supposed to report today. Seriously. #whitesox" http://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/9448988186 Maybe he's just champing at the bit to get started? HOPEFULLY he's just champing at the bit to get started...
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) It's cool to see some stats backing up what a great job Herm and his crew do with the White Sox players. All we need to do as Sox fans is look at the debacle that happens with the Cubs to see how great it is to have Herm with the White Sox. I remember a year or two ago the Cubs trainer won some sort of award and how hard I laughed when Len and Bob had to sell it during the game. I think the one thing that amazes me is the pitching staff and their health. Some of it has to do with JR and KW making some wise choices on contracts for pitchers, but even during a season Herm seems to keep them fresh. Herm is one of the reasons I have high hopes for Peavy's Sox career. (Now I'm afraid this thread will be revived in July when all our players are struggling with horrific injuries!!!) I was thinking the exact same thing. We've been fortunate and I hope that continues.
  18. Looks like Khalil Green won't be reporting to Rangers camp. Social Anxiety disorder? What is that?
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 20, 2010 -> 05:16 PM) Well, we've done it once before, 9th in the AL in runs in 2005 with 741. I can't see this offense hitting either of those plateaus, though, and obviously this bullpen won't match that one. This is probably an 83 or so win team, the question is can they overachieve by 5 or 6 wins (certainly possible with this starting staff) and if they do, will that win total be enough to win a mediocre division? I just wanted a left hand bat that didn't strike out a thousand times a year. And no, I did NOT want Jim Thome anymore. I didn't even want Damon in the beginning. This sucks.
  20. I hope the tigers offer no more than 4 mil. If he has to sign with the tigers for less than 6 mil I'm going to laugh my arse off...
  21. This pisses me off... I hope Andruw Jones mashes this year so we can look back on this ungodly thread and ask ourselves WTF were we thinking...
  22. Let's blow this thread up and never mention Damon's name again...
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) Levine saying Sox pulled their offer. You're kidding, right?
