  1. Well at least we get treated to Rongey's insight tonight... That should have been in green.
  2. Holy s***. When I left BWW the Cubs were down 8-0... and they just won 10-8?? I wonder if the Sox have a comeback like that in them?
  3. Can the Sox PLEASE blow these motherf***ers out of the water tonight? I mean COME ON! You can't continue to let them come and beat your ass on your own field. How about sending them back to Minneapolis with their tails between their legs? The Sox need at least 3 out of 4. f*** it... they need to SWEEP these assholes.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 02:31 PM) This is so funny. I guess if people want to pay for this s*** more power to 'em. Team has proven it cannot hit ANY starting pitcher in the league. What the hell is that noise? Oh that's just the HYPERBOLE alarm going off. Be careful
  5. Now let's root for Indians and Tigers losses.
  6. Charge the mound and punch a minnesota twin in the face.
  7. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 12:21 AM) Amen! I have not read this guy in a month until this was posted and it's just a great reminder of why I don't read him anymore. He's just a jerk, or at least he tries to be, very hard. He strives to cultivate this aura of clever uniqueness but produces a stench of awkward desperation. He's as catty and spiteful as a prom queen and as sycophantic as a groupie. Remarkable that he's a sports writer in a town like Chicago. Spot on. Cowley reminds me of the heel wrestler in a low budget wrestling organization. I mean, he calls himself "The People's Champ" FFS...
  8. *deeeeep inhale/exhale* It smells good in this thread.... like fresh air... Let's not ruin it with more b****ing and complaining. Let's enjoy this fresh air of a win...
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) If Sox do not score I will not be in another game thread in 2011. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:35 PM) I'm with you. You'll be back. You can't stay away.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 11:23 AM) We've had that unusual circumstance of 2 off days in one week. I don't get why we're sitting Konerko, instead of Pierre, for example. Because Dunn's defense will do much less damage at 1B? If we already are putting Teahen in RF, might as well thrown Dunn out in LF, too, and go for broke offensively. Dunn in left field and Teahen in right field? Are you trying to kill Alex Rios?
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 11:01 AM) I know it's hindsight but involving him in a package for A-Gon would have been fantastic. A lot of people were pissed when that was even brought up. They said no way to a Gonzalez for Beckman straight up trade. But that was way back then when he was referred to as the "Bacon Slayer" around here.
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:59 AM) nope that is a reflection of the GM and the organizational philosophy as a whole we are now seeing the result of a GM and manager that go in different directions and try to masquerade their diffences with a high payroll. What? So it's Kenny's fault that the team doesn't play the game right? I disagree but I don't wanna turn this into another Kenny vs Ozzie or GM bashing thread.
  13. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:26 AM) After the Lillibridge acrobatics in the batters box last friday to cost us the game I think we are seeing why he has not considered an everyday player I think the White Sox just have a lot of players with a very low baseball IQ Is that a reflection of the coaching staff?
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 02:04 PM) Paul Konerko 2003 Holy s*** how could that be overlooked? I remember that. Konerko sucked big time. I think it happened right after he called out Frank Thomas about something. That really puts things in perspective though. I hope Dunn gets it together real soon.
  15. After last night, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if either Ozzie or Kenny resigns in the next couple of days. It seems like Ozzie has lost the team, and if Kenny feels like doesn't have the power to do anything about it he'll probably say the hell with it and leave himself. That game last night was bad. And I feel like I'm one of the most optimistic people on this site. I mean seriously, I had no faith whatsoever that the Sox were going to win that game. I felt like they were just delaying the inevitable. I still have faith overall for the team, but I can only imagine how those fans that don't have faith are feeling.
  16. This is a completely random question, but does anybody know what the deal is with Mully and Hanley? Why are they both gone so much? They're hardly ever on at the same time. Do they not get along? Is one of them sick? Are they in contract negotiations? I was just curious...
  17. Both bullpens will be worn out for the rest of the series.
  18. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) BTW, where did you get that picture as your avatar? I took it myself... She's laying right next to me. No seriously though it's just some random internet chick.
  19. According to Hawk there's already been a walk off at US Cellular this year. Well dammit let's have another.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 10:08 PM) Can some describe how Pierre just missed a walkoff? He hit the ball out but it was foul by just a little bit.
  21. I'm telling you the White Sox are passed due for a walk off...
