I was waiting for this post. Do I want to know who Shirley would have picked?

Our boy is back.

This isn't really news to most people that honestly assesed the trade deadline commentary. They aren't competing next year. They don't have the upper level depth or impact in the minors. It's going to be another season of hoping they bolster the farm and develop some players as the big league club flounders.

Good loss boys.

No Colson in the Barons lineup again. Hasn't played since the 10th. Hope it's nothing serious.

On the bright side we have doubles from Popeye and Veras, and a Tatum triple.

2 homers and a lot of hard contact off Bush these first two innings. Fastball sitting at 91 per the announcer.

Colson walks in his first plate appearance. 7 pitches. His approach sure is refreshing.

Probably the best start I've seen of the newly acquired pitchers.

Here is the Veras nuke. Pretty good call by the announcer on it too.

This Barons team is so much more enjoyable to watch then the current major league squad, and it's not even close.

Veras follows with an absolute bomb. Yikes.

Ramos HR. He's been on one with the power.

Mena strikes out two in the 7th, then walks the third batter on 2 pitches that maybe should have been called for a strikeout. He showed the ump up good on one of them too lol. Finishes with 10 Ks.

Pretty solid day for Mena. Got into some trouble in the 5th with the bases loaded and no outs. Just finished the 6th with 2 more strikeouts. 82 pitches through 6.0 IP. 4 H 2 ER 2 BB 8 K. Will see if he comes out for the 7th.

Ramos still good. Still hurts baseballs.
