He didn't. He's been a bright spot in a tough situation this season. Pretty much went from AA to the majors after his stuff ticked up. He's surely going to have growing pains as he continues to develop at the major league level, but at least he's a guy that has emerged.

He looks so good at the plate. He's also actually walking more and striking out less in A+ than in A ball so far. Small sample obviously, but he hasn't missed a beat since his promotion.

Mena doesn't look as sharp as I've seen in the past as far as command goes, but still has 4 SO through 3.0 IP. One of those coming on a pitch clock violation. One hard hit double against him, while the rest has been weak contact.
