  1. Colson lined a double down the RF line in his first AB.
  2. There was a benches clearing incident a few days ago I think? Probably related to that.
  3. Probably not. Just going off what Jeff Cohen tweeted earlier. Sounds like he did take BP today though.
  4. It does not seem to be a Vera night. Gosswein going for Kanny,
  5. Eloy does not seem to be in the lineup for Charlotte. Sheets DHing. Unless Gameday is incorrect.
  6. Someone school me on swinging strike metrics for pitchers. Is that tracked somewhere? For minor leaguers in particular? I feel like the amount of swinging strikes Dalquist gets is abysmal. Would love some evidence if it exists. I think he has 4 swinging strikes today so far. 3 of them on the one batter that he struck out.
  7. In theory Vera should be pitching tonight. He pitched after Mena last week, but unsure if he has an atypical schedule with the delayed start of the season.
  8. Thompson's final line 5.1 IP 8 H 3 ER 0 BB 9 SO. 79 pitches. 63 for strikes. I am pleased with this development. He looked great.
  9. Thompson done in the middle of the 6th. Gave up 2 hard hit doubles, a ground out, and a soft single. Responsible for the runner on 1st.
  10. Thompson feasting. Think he just struck out a guy on 3 straight changeups.
  11. Mena is having a unique outing. The strikeouts aren't there, but not tons of hard contact. 1 SO 1 BB 4 H through 5 innings. Seems very fastball heavy today.
  12. Lol. Ramos just hit a towering fly ball that barely got out. I didn't think it had a chance off the bat. HR number 10.
  13. Two more strikeouts in the 3rd for Thompson. Got hit around a bit, but damage was minimal. Still throwing strikes. 48 pitches 38 of them strikes.
  14. Two more strikeouts in the 2nd for Thompson. Throwing strikes and getting ahead.
  15. Thompson strikes out three in the 1st. Love to see it.
  16. Some hard contact off Mena in the first. Struggling with command on the fastball, but gets out of it unscathed. Colson also crushed a double to right center in his first AB.
  17. I wish I loved anything as much as @bmags loves the DSL.
