Does anybody have a report on RHP Ryan Kussmaul with the Dash? He has put up some impressive numbers.

Would Gordo ever have made it as a big league SS? I never saw him. I know he played SS at B'ham and a bit at Charlotte.

I noticed Detroit had SRO Friday night. Is Verlander that big of a draw? I know it's not the Sox.

I still remember the last out -- grounder to Uribe at SS, and he throws it in the dirt. PK picked it up routinely. Konerko has been criticized for his defensive play, but I always liked him. He is still great at getting balls in the dirt. Underrated.

This is two straight sub par performances from Verlander. He's a great pitcher, still human. Is this the last year for Mags?

Disagree; I hated the signing immediately. No other team pays those bucks for a DH. Posada is close, but he signed that deal with Yanks when he was a catcher. Ortiz well below Dunn's salary. They both have legacy with their teams. And four years? And a draft pick? There is not enough heat in Kenny's kitchen.

I watched most of the Rockies-Nats game. Everyone was swinging at first pitch, looked like the players wanted to get the game in quickly and on to the three day break. Even the announcers said so. Did the Sox game look that way?

Rockies would love to have a starter like Jackson. They have a couple of prospects who have put up big numbers in lower minors. Of course, their recent injuries have helped put them out of contention. I would like to see what kind of action Jackson would bring.
