How long before we get a report that Seal Team Six got him?
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) Greatness is subjective, people can define it however they want. And thus a list!
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 12:42 PM) Right its a classic Jim Brown argument. Longevity counts though in terms of greatness.
  4. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 12:35 PM) I honestly am not sure Kareem is better than Shaq. Kareem has the longevity stats, but Shaq has the better per and had the highest per in a single season between them. I never really saw Kareem play and some of his early years they didnt keep all of the stats. Shaq also probably had the most dominant peak of anyone. Jordan and Kareem both had much longer peaks. In Jordan's case, his peak was his whole Bulls' career. Kareem's was until he was 39 years old.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 12:23 PM) I saw them both, and would go with Kareem. I go with a 7'6 Jordan that you can make in NBA 2k12.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 12:21 PM) Yeah but 1 person wont overcome the rest that all have MJ first. And based on the age of the board Id think youd be more likely to see someone like Shaq over MJ. You do realize I'm the youngest on the board and most people here would readily acknowledge Kareem over Shaq?
  7. Added a poll for current or all-time list.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 12:12 PM) You mean 2-100, because I don't see any way Jordan doesn't get #1 on this board, so there's really no reason to ask for #1. Someone would put Kareem or Russell first.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) We got trouble. Son of a b****. Though, spending money on the films isn't that bad. It's how they got the word out about him and made him a household name. Supporting an army that has soldiers accused of rape and looting...that's a whole other issue.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 10:57 AM) I think a current list would be way more fun. I was talking All-Time, but current would be fun too.
  11. I was over at RealGM and saw their top 100 list and I thought since our board loves to debate basketball, why not make a Top 100 NBA Players list? This will need a different system than knight's method...because I don't feel like tallying votes. I'll try and think of a system to do it if everyone thinks this would be fun to do.

I think we can all agree this man needs to be stopped. I sure as hell am doing my part on April 20th.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Mar 7, 2012 -> 02:12 AM) I'd rather have Martin too. He's basically a suped up version of Rip. I've had quite enough with the Ben Gordon pump fakes and dribbles off his own feet/knees. Guy is making 11 million and can't start for the Pistons but we want him starting for the Bulls? His shooting is still good. Guys a professional, even in his s*** situation. Never said a bad thing about Chicago. Martin is currently b****ing. BG is also a clutch mofo.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 05:02 PM) Kevin Martin is twice the player Ben Gordon is, yo. He really isn't, yo. BG has come up huge in big situations and tried on D, just undersized. Martin is a legit 6'7 who is actually worse on D and his main weapon, the "rip-through" move, has been taken away this year.
  15. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 09:20 AM) The nanny-staters always have to have a boogyman. Can't mind their own business, got to get all up in everyone else's. F*ck off, I will eat a steak if I want to, and enjoy it. My buffalo burger for lunch Friday was awesome. And a bone to the vegheads, I had bacon-wrapped asparagas over the weekend. Mmmmmmm, bacon. Roar. Also, buffalo is healthier and tastier than beef. WHY DID WE HAVE TO KILL THEM.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) Omgrosso getting hammered now. 3 hits and a walk with no outs. 2 runs in so far. I always forget this guy exists.
  17. Adam Dunn will hit .400 with an OBP of. 800. He's in the best shape of his life.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 07:47 AM) I'd be ecstatic. And ISU can hang with Mizzou. But, barring a horrible game by the Tigers, I think their athleticism will just be too much for the Cyclones, they just don't match up that well. Also, you have Texas Tech somehow losing during the play-in, then playing again in the next round. If I had to predict, just for fun... OU def A&M OSU def TT KSU def BAY KU def OU Mizzou def OSU (this was a tough call, I could easily see OSU pulling an upset here) ISU def TEX KU def KSU Mizzou def ISU Mizzou def KU I don't see Kansas or Mizzou being upset solely because they're in Kansas City, so they'll have homecourt advantage. ISU can hang with Mizzou, but they were able to stop Royce White when it mattered (though, with calls going their way).
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) What does Martin's contract look like? Like Ben Gordon's.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 10:30 AM) I did my taxes last night with the Bulls game on so I didn't get to join in on the up and down Soxtalk thread. This thread IS ridiculous when you come in and read a bunch of posts at once. I only now just realize it. And I love it. Anyway, Rip Hamilton is a bust. The dude is as fragile as they come. Anyone suggesting the Bulls toss off a combination of Watson and Korver so we can get Ben Gordon is just crazy. Ben Gordon is as fragile as Rip, and costs way more. The Bulls need to get a 2 guard in here who can legitimately score and won't kill us cap wise. The usual suspects like OJ Mayo are out there. I really don't see Kevin Martin working under the cap, unless you can get the Rockets to take Rip, a pick, and more salary. Martin is in the doghouse and would be absolutely great here. Another guy to target could be Marcus Thornton, unless the Kings with their new arena coming think he's a big key in a lineup with Cousins moving forward. Since when is Ben as fragile as Rip? And doesn't he cost less than Martin, who no longer can do his "jump into defender to get to line" move? Jason Terry ripped the Heat a new asshole last year. BG could do that this year.
  21. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 02:57 AM) He can't have much value at this point, I know he is undersized but the Heat backcourt isn't exactly tall so could work. Korver + Watson + Lucas for money. Resign Mike James.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 5, 2012 -> 10:31 PM) KCJohnson Thibodeau said Rip will be re-examined on Tuesday. Players said Rip was in good spirits afterward but admitted it looked serious. #Bulls Just trade for Ben Gordon.
  23. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 6, 2012 -> 12:46 AM) I know it's not a bold statement, but I'd bet lots of money on ISU not winning this thing. Only team that stops Missouri on a neutral site is K-State.
