QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 02:42 PM) That press conference would be like 7 different news stories/scandals in a normal presidency. Republicans would start impeachment for a Democrat.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 04:38 PM) It would be awesome if they wore those jerseys when Boston was in town. The ultimate psychological advantage.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 03:32 PM) Going off his WAR from last year, 0.0 x 100 = 0.0 lol QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 04:19 PM) Should have changed it to Pablo, would have gained more 'batting skill' ratings Two quality gems here.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 09:50 PM) Came here to post that nyt article, also this House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said Tuesday that those who leaked the contents of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s phone calls “belong in jail.” “That’s nine leakers that all belong in jail,” Nunes said. “Those nine people broke the law, clearly, by leaking classified information to anybody. lol

So, this project has been in the works for going on two years of grad school for me, a documentary celebrating the life and legacy of Minnie Minoso. It started as a SoxNet idea and grew from there, now we're proud to publicly unveil it as it enters the home stretch of production. http://www.chicagonow.com/soxnet/2017/02/i...he-cuban-comet/

Alex Reyes fails physical, might need surgery
Quin replied to GGajewski18's topic in The Diamond Club
To get Q it would have to be something like Reyes, Kelly, Perez, Hudson. That's three of their top 4 prospects, but the headliner would be damaged goods and Perez had his issues going into the draft. -
Teams have upped their offers in Q derby in the last week

QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 11:19 AM) Q is a dude you build around, such a pro. Its a damn shame we dont have the luxury to do that when he is our only real asset left to build for the future. If we can't move him, I'm content having him head this staff. The only thing worse than wasting Q here would be settling for a lackluster return. -
QUOTE (Tony @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 10:46 PM) I feel like this is a horror movie. We got one down, but something even worse may replace him. We need to eliminate the host. Hail Hydra?

QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 10:19 PM) Stephen Miller is waging quite the campaign for that title Don't forget DeVos and Trump.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 09:09 PM) This is, of course, wrong also. He took office in 1999 and was fairly popular for the first couple years, but that was also at the peak of an economic expansion where tax revenues were rising. However, in 2000, the U.S. Economy began a multi year period of recession, slow growth, and repeated financial industry fraud implosions. At that point, Minnesota's tax revenues turned around and many of the things he promised he couldn't find money to pay for. He had been sending tax rebates to people and the money dried up. At that time, he suddenly ran into a budget crisis - he wasn't a negotiator and as a consequence, when the budget had to be constrained, he became incredibly ineffective. His approval ratings in 1999 started over 70%, but by 2002, when he declared that he wasn't running for reelection, his approval ratings had dropped to 40%, and although I haven't found a good reference for the actual poll right before he left, some articles say his approval ratings had dropped into Bush-territory by then. And his celebrity bullcrap wound up taking him away from the state, hurting his ability to have an agenda, and hurting the state. Specifically, here's a Forbes article: Add in a s***ton of racism and some holocaust denial, and that sounds disturbingly familiar. Yo but they aren't Hillary Clinton and sloppy joes give Greg a rumbly-tumbly.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 04:20 PM) Interesting to see that the number was put at 4 more deals they want to make. Q, Robertson for sure. Frazier was one we saw a lot of rumors about. Who was #4? Abreu? Cabrera? I'd imagine Q, Robertson, Frazier and Jones.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:24 PM) Did u read that story on yahoo front page reminding us why it's good Hillary isn't president? My head may be in the sand, but ultimately I think history will prove I was right about voting for neither. After watching XFL 30 on 30 ESPN last night I still love Jesse Ventura. History will prove you to willfully ignorant and sanctimonious.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 13, 2017 -> 02:01 PM) Hansen is fun for discussion purposes. Realistically his floor is Jeff Soptic... a hardthrower who can't go anywhere. His upside is Cy Young with an 75/80 fastball and 80 slider, and average control. My irrational love of Hansen tells me he still has the highest ceiling of all our arms, even though I know it's really Rodon and Giolito.

Quin replied to Al Lopez's Ghost's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Maybe he's saying the different types of players being offered of the course of various deals. Maybe one deal was 2 Top 50s and MLB player, the other was 3 Top 50s. -
I want the Bears to draft Josh Dobbs solely for selfish reasons.

QUOTE (brett05 @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 12:20 PM) uh...that's an answer alright. Not the correct one. But an answer. Yes, but I'm tired of us giving you thought out, correct answers and I figured buzz words would be easier.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 12:19 PM) It's actually not directly related to the Constitution. It's a Senate procedural rule, and an accident of history, really. I'm just giving his answer to everything

QUOTE (brett05 @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 12:12 PM) Why are 60 votes needed for repeal and replace? why not just a simple majority? Cause constitution.
