Go six straight Ks, OK Sale?
-
This is what it feels like to face the White Sox.
-
It's ok guys. They just want to get the ball to Sale faster.
-
f*** my life

"Avi's been swinging the bat very well" *strikes out* Goddamnit Stone.
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 07:25 PM) *throws tomato* *Carlos Sanchez swings at and misses tomato*
-
Christopher, more strikeouts.
-
Eaton going for the Scotty Pods socks effect?
-
Stone, I don't think you understand. None of us want one pitch outs.
-
ESPN doesn't have Sale listed as a potential AL All-Star starter...
-
Only way the AL stands a chance is if the pitching dominates. Chris Sale needs to get that AS MVP.
-
Please god let Nate come back healthy.
-
Also...Minnie wasn't on the 59 team...
-
This makes me simultaneously very happy and very sad.

QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jul 5, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) Davidson is hitting in the .230's in AAA. What do you figure that translates to in the majors??? Recently he has been cutting down on his SO but has not hit any homers. Last I saw it looked like his defense was better. He is still a AAA level player but maybe by September he will get another shot. When a player is struggling, being promoted to the majors can really be a problem. Sanchez is a good example. He was really hot in AAA then went into a slump and they called him up in the middle of a slump. I don't know if it's fair to say Sanchez was in a slump. He had been hitting .417, we was due to come back to earth.

QUOTE (BigFinn @ Jul 4, 2015 -> 09:47 PM) The reason I brought up the Dodgers is that's where the prospects are right now. I just don't trust the Red Sox organization. According to John Sickels at minorleagueball.com Boston has the 2nd best minor league system in MLB. Cubs are #1; Twins, #3; Dodgers, #4; and Rangers, #5. The White Sox are stuck at #23. With the exception of the Red Sox, I'm OK with that thumb-nail sketch. I could see the Sox working a deal with the Cubs centered around Schwarber plus other prospects for Quintana. I could see the Sox hooking up with the Texas Rangers with a deal for catching prospect Jorge Alfaro. I've already mentioned my wish list from the Dodgers. Quintana, according to Fangraphs, was the tenth best pitcher in all of baseball last year. Right now he's tied for #30 with half a season to go. Quintana is a solid #2 to a close to #1 starting pitcher as a 26 year old with a cost-controlled contract through his age 31 season. On the Cubs, he would be their ace. Same for the Rangers. He'd be the #3 on the Dodgers, but the Dodgers may lose Greinke next year, so he would help provide depth for their rotation. If any of those teams, or any other contenders, want Quintana, they should have to pay dearly to get him. And apologies, it's Joc Pederson, not Peterson. This post is beautiful.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 4, 2015 -> 06:18 PM) Aldridge, by most accounts, is the best FA in this class. Him and Leonard would be 1A and 1B on the Spurs right now. To say that one is a great player, but he's allow to switch teams to chase rings while the other is an elite player, and he isn't allow to do so more or less speaks to the irrational Lebron hate I was referring to. If you hated him for his Decision antics, that I could definitely side with. But if people want to hate him for choosing the best situation for himself or the fact that he spun off the Bulls for the Heat, then I think that's a bit hypocritical. I hate him for being the Bulls Slayer, but A LOT for the Decision. I remember my brother saying he almost didn't want him when we watched The Decision and I agreed. Still wanted him, but it would feel dirty. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 4, 2015 -> 06:26 PM) Shifting gears to the Blazers, they are completely f***ed in the ass in the offseason. They have now lost Wes Mathews, Affalo, Lopez, Batum, and now Aldridge. It wouldn't be fun in Rip City next season watching Lillard jack up 30 shots a game. R.I.P. Rip City

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 3, 2015 -> 08:16 PM) He'd be the second most valuable position player on the Sox, I'll take him. His team is in a playoff spot right now. Hey, we're only five games out!

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2015 -> 07:34 PM) Some of you dislike Danks; I dislike Putnam. it's just the way life is. He seems like just another arm to me. It was an unreal catch. I keep watching the replay. Just unreal. I loved his reaction. He has TWTW obviously. He was fired up. I think Abreu has TWTW too. Good to see from two potential stars. Confirmed that Greg is actually Hawk.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 4, 2015 -> 07:08 PM) Again swihart was asked as a starting point by Philly and boston told them no. Why would he then be available to stating point for quintana. Cause he hasn't been lighting the world on fire lstely.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2015 -> 03:50 PM) One game you leave in Shark too long. Boom, bye 4-0 lead. Next time you bring in a reliever ... boom, tie game. Can't win for losing. Some folks on this board over-valued Putnam and Petricka that is for sure. They are just bodies. Sometimes they are OK; most of the time their pitches scream "hit me." ...what?
