QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) Of course he's at SS tonight. https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/613448423262457856 Alexei grandslam tonight. Like the olden days.

Oh great. The station with Rush on it. Blech.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 03:07 PM) Eh, if I had to choose between what would likely just be Bryant and lesser prospects vs a package of Schwarber/Edwards++ I think I'd go with the package of multiple studs. I said "starts" with. The Cubs would not like what it ends with.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jun 23, 2015 -> 02:48 PM) If the Sox think Schwarber can stick at catcher, they can get Edwards, AND snag Russell or Baez I might do that deal. I think Schwarber is gonna be a monster, and getting Edwards would soften the blow of losing Sale a ton. The rotation with Rodon-Q-Fulmer-Edwards is intriguing as hell. Cubs conversations start with Bryant or the Sox hang up.

The baseball HOF is still a joke that moves the fences to fit its own desires.

Who represents the Sox in the All Star Game?
Quin replied to ChiSoxFanMike's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sale, Abreu as a replacement for someone who inevitably drops out. -
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 09:45 PM) Jim Callis @jimcallisMLB 6m6 minutes ago Ceiling is frontline starter. Has that stuff. @SSS_joshnelson: With Fulmer joining the @WhiteSox - what do you think his ceiling is? Sale Rodon Shark Quintana Fulmer EJ, Montas, Danish, Beck in the wings. Staff looks real good to me. Just get some hitters lol With Guerrero and Adams on their way. Hell, I'll even add Drabek due to his performance this year. Going to have to start trading some of them for hitting.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) WOW! Just, WOW! Just do not know what else to say. "Thank god the best college pitcher fell to the Sox two years in a row"

Fulmer is nasty as hell. Though he'll need someone better at catching than Tyler Flowers.

Why did LaRoche bunt?

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 03:08 PM) Arizona optioned Addison Reed to AAA. Davidson has been disappointing, but somehow Reed going to AAA for the Dbacks is even more so.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 03:09 PM) I think Islam itself is a whole different ballgame as the religion is also a political structure. The government in regions dominated by it is entirely religious-based, so it is hard for people to separate them. So take the 2 guys that tried to kill Pam Gellar recently. You have a mixture of both. They were most likely acting on their own, using their interpretations of religion as the basis of the actions. But where are they getting those interpretations from? Imans, CAIR, whole governments etc. When they throw people off a roof in Iran for being gay, and a Muslim here does something anti-gay, well. Iran didn't tell him to, but he sure got the idea is was A-OK from somewhere, and it wasn't just from some corner anti-gay Muslim. So Christianity doesn't influence the US government? -
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 03:22 PM) I don't know if I would even do that. For reference, Castro is getting flipped in that deal. Also, let's make them take Danks and have Theo publicly say Rick Hahn is cooler than he is. And a bag of f***ing skittles because Cubs fans are idiots.

For arguments sake of a Sale + Samardzjia deal to the Cubs. Bryant, Russell, Schwarber, Soler, Edwards, Alcantara, Almora. Hell, I'll take Castro and throw in Alexei. GMAFB

Rongey posted an article about trading Sale. From the Facebook comments: Guy #1 Sale & Samardzija for Schwarber, Castro, Almora and Alcantara. Done. Guy #2 If they trade schwarber, ill be upset. Castro almora for sale.. Done Highway robbery tho. They would never trade sale for castro Guy #1 Castro and Almora would get you laughed off the phone. If you're the Cubs, the only guys you can say are off-limits are Bryant and maybe Russell. You just don't trade those guys, period. If you're the Sox... you can justifiably say, for a package of Sale + a Samardzija rental, that "we want any four names we want after that." Castro - also on a manageable deal - slots in nicely at 3B. Schwarber is the best bat - whether it's at C, LF or DH. Almora and Alcantara are both good prospects but the jury remains out.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 02:39 PM) That would be amazing to offer Hickman 2 the full allotment. Would make a below average draft into a decent one And we'd have a catching prospect!
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 02:11 PM) If we picked up Stalin Castro in a deal for John Danks for some unforseen miracle, we wouldn't keep him. He'd be dealt to another team who actually needs a SS, and we'd reload prospects. Never do I want Starlin Castro on the Sox. So for some reason if this happened, yes, Starlin gets flipped.

http://m.mlb.com/news/article/132044338/me...igible-sign-mlb Melissa Mayeux was added to the international registration list, becoming the first woman to do so. Obviously it's batting practice and fielding practice, but looks like she's got a smooth swing and looked good fielding those grounders. It'll be interesting to follow Mayeux. Sox should sign her, they need defense and people that can battle in at-bats.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 22, 2015 -> 10:18 AM) Just looked at this, and you are correct. Rodon is (or soon will be) off, same with Sanchez. Our next official T30 will be end of July or so, and it is very possible we could acquire some prospects before then. But with what we have now, assuming Fulmer signs and Mike Hickman doesn't, I guess I'd go with something like this (not heavily researched yet)... 1. Tim Anderson 2. Carson Fulmer 3. Micah Johnson 4. Frank Montas 5. Trey Michalczewski 6. Tyler Danish 7. Spencer Adams 8. Micker Adolfo 9. Jacob May 10. Adam Engel 11. Trayce Thompson 12. Chris Beck 13. Courtney Hawkins 14. Jordan Guerrero 15. Kevan Smith 16. Tyler Saladino 17. Jason Coats 18. Thad Lowry 19. Matt Davidson 20. Onelki Garcia 21. Corey Zangari 22. Cleuluis Rondon 23. Terance Marin 24. Luis Castillo 25. Amado Nunez 26. Andrew Wheeler 27. Eddy Alvarez 28. Jhoandro Alfaro 29. Keon Barnum 30. Jake Peter Next 10 (not necessarily in order): David Trexler, Jordan Stephens, Brian Clark, Zack Erwin, JB Wendelken, Yency Almonte, Robin Leyer, Johan Cruz, Mason Robbins, Danny Hayes Matt, where would you have Michael Hickman ranked if he signs?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 10:42 AM) Why don't all African-American just join the NRA and carry guns....reverse psychology way to get to gun control? http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/10/us/guns-race/index.html If everyone had guns, no one would die. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 21, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) I probably would include Erik Johnson EJ no longer has prospect status.
