  1. Marshall will most likely be the GOAT Bears receiver.
  2. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 09:36 PM) They were never down 0-7, they were up 10-0 and then gave up a td at the end of the first half to make it 10-7 Then I misread it. Also, Peanut is f***ing awesome.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 09:35 PM) Why? If they get eliminated early, they might have the hunger next year. The way I see it, victory formula for the Sox has to include Detroit getting fattened up this postseason. Cause Detroit had a very s***ty year and the way I see it, will play MUCH BETTER next year, 90 wins without a sweat. If they win it all now, though ... QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 09:27 PM) Greg = JD Man Card = Fan Card
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 02:55 PM) The above two posts are ridiculous and make it seem like getting rid of Danks was an obvious move. Woah, before you bunch be in with Greg, what was bad about mine?
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) I'll root for Detroit. The longer they play, the more innings for Verlander, et. all. Also the more they win, the more they might have a letdown next year. To win the division, we are going to need a replay of this year out of Detroit. No way in hell we'll win enough for a wild card so we gotta win the division. GO DETROIT!!!! Greg = JD Man Card = Fan Card
  6. I was at a meeting, so I just got here. They were down 7-0 when I left. Up 17-7 now. Who did it? Cutler?
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 02:00 PM) Don't worry, I'll be here to support Oz when the others bury him. No way.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 02:09 PM) Quintana might have never gotten a chance then. Maybe when Humber started sucking, but that would have been a lot later in the year. Isn't that who he ultimately replaced? Because Q was up before Danks went down for good.
  9. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) Didn't Quintana replace Danks in the rotation, I don't think MB does much better than what he gave us for most of the season. Yeah, but then we roll with Peavy-Buehrle-Sale-Quintana-Floyd most of the year. Also, we get some nice prospects for Danks.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 1, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) I like how they wrap them in extra thick rubber so that they look so official and heavy. Good luck with that 100 dollar cable bro, mine was 1.10. I will say this, though it sounds like an audiophile: Beats headphones are amazing. The problem is mine broke, so the store gave me a full refund, but I'm going to give them one more shot.
  11. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 09:31 PM) Your browser does not support iframes. "That is the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life." Agreed, F.P. Agreed. The first ever "phantom grand slam." That was beautiful.
  12. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 30, 2012 -> 01:46 AM) If Ozzie comes back I may lose interest in following this team... I'd be really, really mad for a while. I could never stop following them, but oh boy. If Ozzie didn't bring Buehrle along, I'd watch them because I like the players.
  13. Greg, you keep mentioning late season melt downs. Those were consistent with Ozzie every single year, including 05.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 10:44 PM) Does Robin want to come back, that is the question? Robin seems too calm to be a manager. I think we should switch every year. Next season's manager: Big Hurt, Frank Thomas. Then the following year: Harold Baines. Year after that: Steve Stone. And year after that: Ozzie Guillen. Why not? Sox should switch every year. Robin did a good job but didn't quite have the magic touch to avoid the late-season meltdown. Let's give Big Hurt the next shot.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 10:38 PM) There are plenty of longtime posters that promote their own sites, side projects and blogs on this site. Have you seen multiple posters with Flapship.com in their sig? Statestsports started here as a poster named Jimbos drinker. We dont have a problem with that. What we do have a problem with is people who show up, register and immediately link their own blog as a way to drive up their own site traffic. Thats bulls***. If you want to participate in discussion and be a member of the site, we are all about that. But you and Soxnews(if that is another person or just an alternate name of yours) look like you are just setting up to start linking to your blog. Thats why other members as well as mods and admins are calling it out. Dont play the "you guys discourage discussion" card around here either, thats a copout. If you participated in threads like others do you would see there is plenty of discussion, some of it leads to arguments of course but there is some damn good members on this site that provide some damn good insight and thoughts on many different topics, so dont act like you are reinventing the wheel by coming up with a poll and a paragraph to start a discussion. Other people do it too.
  16. QUOTE (Felix @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) Spoiler alert: Fesenko is awful and is perennially out of shape. Don't kid yourself. This. It gives Thibs a big body to work with, but I doubt anything comes of it. Think of it this way: Why is a 7'1, 280 lb mobile center signing a non-guaranteed deal? Because he is not that great. Or good. I'd probably have the same reaction with Hasheem Thabeet
  17. I'm tempted to call my guy on 35th street to see if he calls BS. But he wouldn't know who the hell I was. And slowly thinking Marty is Cowley again...
  18. I owe Doumit something. If the Tigers lose, then somehow, someway, there is hope.
  19. This thing isn't over yet. Because... Your browser does not support iframes. Last time this matchup happened, Sale struck out 15 and Adam Dunn conducted space experiments about leather's durability in the atmosphere. Now, prayers to the Baseball Gods. Oh mighty Rally Crede, come bless the Sox with fire and freeze Detroit. Gift our bats the ability of clutch. Powerful Jobu, take fear from bats. Hit straight ball very much out of park. El Titan de Bronze, gift the pitchers the ability to dominate like you once did. The Catch*, deliver unto the team perfect defense. *Wise is not the catch himself, merely it's physical manifestation on Earth. Captain, return to us in all your splendor. His Airness, give the gift of rising to the moment. To never back down. But mostly, give the gift of... Sale Moore This. s***. Ain't. Over.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 02:45 AM) Did Oz survive the crisis? Mark is a great pitcher; u know my feelings on him. You called Buehrle a bad baseball player. He was one of the three big acquisitions in the offseason. Reyes was still a top flight SS and Bell sucked. Buehrle is in the middle. Players is plural. You called Buehrle a bad baseball player. Buehrle >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ozzie
