QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 03:34 PM) The interview I watched after last night's game was great. He was calm and professional. I guess after that, he decided to rant on the pitchers. Big deal. Don't you Ozzie haters see you have sold your souls to modern sports cliches. You love the manager (when winning), then tire of the manager because he's old news, been around too long. Unless the team keeps winning divisions you tire of him and want him gone even though he's young and as good a manager as anybody out there. You fail to realize the players are the ones actually playing and also responsible for winning division titles. You sell out to the dreaded sports cliche and are no longer loyal to the guy who gave you THE ULTIMATE THRILL as a baseball fan. A WS title. And if anybody could have engineered a postseason run as Oz did, then why the hell has it happened once in 90 years or whatever the string is. Cubs still haven't done it. OZZIE ROCKS!!!! It was for the reasons posted above my response. Yes Miami will get in. Hopefully it's destiny we meet them in the WS and beat them. Then managers are not important and Ozzie is irrelevant to all of the White Sox success in 05.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:16 AM) This is a strange year for the Sox. I don't remember them having these kind of injury totals for something like a decade. I blame the Bulls medical staff.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 08:29 AM) Sure. The one that Big Sqwert just posted he called his pitchers a bunch of crap. I am sure they find that very likeable. It is funny how everyone is saying Ozzie is taking the heat to relieve the pressure on his team, but what happened here is the exact opposite. Ozzie used to say stuff like "Its my fault they werent prepared, maybe i should quit blah blah blah". That is not what he said here, he hung his team out to dry. Well, everyone but Heath Bell, which makes no damn sense at all. That guy gets paid to save games and he hasnt done that at all, and for some reason Ozzie protects him. +1 He's not the same Ozzie he was in 2005-2008. It's very obvious to everyone outside of Greg and my brother.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 01:37 AM) How can you not stand him? Have you seen his interviews? The man is likeable and I wish him well. I want the Sox to win every game, but I hold no ill will toward Ozzie. Why do you? I think of him and think of WS. Ozzie was great when I was 13 and less of an ass. But since then he's become a clubhouse cancer (as a manager, that is not a good thing) and his interviews lack any semblance of professionalism or class. That's not likable, that's detestable. He's not the White Sox manager anymore so I hold no loyalty to Ozzie, in sports you root for the laundry. So now that he's gone and I'm almost out of my teenage years it is incredibly easy to see what an arrogant, self-righteous prick that Ozzie Guillen is.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 09:06 PM) Every hitter in the lineup has an extra base hit besides Beckham What I've learned is Beckham is evil then?

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) What happened? Youk bumped into Beltre at third and they started mock-fighting. You could tell they were joking, but it was still funny.

This game is awesome.

I wonder if AJ promised money to everyone for each run scored against the Rangers?

LOL @ Youk and Beltre

LOL Kinsler.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) It seems like lately Hawk has hired someone to tell him if a fly ball is on it's way out or not. He seems to be conceding 2 or 3 seconds earlier than he used to. Or he makes better reads now? Or just feels like waiting?

QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) What happened? Slid to catch a hit, but he had to catch it basically falling over while sliding, so he shielded the ball with his body and picked it up with his other hand after he dropped it.
-
LOL @ Rios being a crafty f***er. Damn at that being the first hit.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 03:47 PM) a whole bunch of "That is f***ed up" happened at Penn State over the past decade Joe Paterno is just becoming more and more of a bastard. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) That report makes it a lot clearer that McQueary really came forward and said that child abuse was happening in what he saw. Meanwhile, it's making it a little better for McQueary.

Nets signed Mirza Teletovic, who's a stretch 4 basically. If the Nets get Howard, Rose will have 3 teams with All-Stars to punch through: The Heat, the Nets, and the Knicks (they played better under Woodson). Rose needs help bad. Noah and Taj can hold down the frontcourt, but a dynamic wing is so desperately needed.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) AP reports the official announcement of the discovery of the "Higgs Boson" particle will happen on Wednesday. Well, holy s***.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) You can do that? I have a list, let me know your paypal. Every so once in a while. But there are side effects, end of the world and stuff. But considering the Cubs are currently terrible, we avoid the big sign of the apocalypse.

QUOTE (Son Goshin @ Jun 23, 2012 -> 08:38 AM) I'm honestly not too worried about our rotation right now. QUintana, Peavy, and Sale have been awesome. Floyd needs to pick it back up yes, but we know he's capable. I have faith in Axelrod as well to get the job done. I have some more thoughts on the rotation here: http://midwaymadness.com/2012/06/humber-to...on-two-rookies/ This may be the most random post I've ever seen.
