  1. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 03:32 PM) #whitesox ?? RT @mike_petriello: RT @PeteAbe: Sure seems like Youkilis just got traded. Scoreboard now showing highlights of his career. No like.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 12:53 PM) I hope they prevent that sicko from offing himself. I want him to sit in that jail cell and think about all the wrongdoings in his life. He needs to sit and think for a while. This.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 01:48 PM) Q will have to stay at this 1.5 ERA kind of pace to win and it still might not matter because no one cares about the White Sox This sounds about right.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 01:48 PM) I mean crazy things like this year not being able to win at home, totally streaky play. It's just like our play with Ozzie, hanging around .500 or a little above. I like Robin, but Ozzie is a very very good manager. He kept our team loose. He'd still be here if not for a personal 1-1 war with the GM, who won that battle. Why root against Ozzie now is all I ask? He bled White Sox red. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Also, White Sox red? I know it's Sunday...but... Also, that article Balta posted, that's how you keep a clubhouse loose.
  5. You can not hope to fight The Feathered Serpent. Quetzlcoatl is unstoppable.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. Like. And lack of class? When talking about Oz. That's funny.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 23, 2012 -> 02:07 AM) Seriously, I feel he's top five in all of baseball. Whom do you rank ahead of him?? I'm saying with his track RECORD (WL record, etc) who objectively speaking beats out Ozzie? Joe Maddon Ron Washington Bruce Bochy Mike Scioscia Charlie Manuel There's five with track records from before this year. Now, if we're including this year. Robin Ventura Kirk Gibson Don Mattingly Mike Matheny Davey Johnson Joe Girardi You asked for five, you got 11.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 23, 2012 -> 02:12 AM) Not trying to flame or bait, merely a serious question and I'll provide my answer as well. Q - When you think of Bobby Jenks' White Sox days do you smile approvingly or frown? Do you think of Jenks fondly or think ill of him? A - I smile approvingly and think he had a helluva Sox career considering how most relievers nowadays implode after a few years (who are not named Rivera). Like Jenks? I smile fondly of memories of him from 05-07, his first three years with the Sox. '08 was ok. '09 and '10 were terrible. Sox gave him a shot and he capitalized. I thought he'd be the White Sox closer for years, but then he just fell apart.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 07:46 PM) There's a Jim Scott conspiracy going on with that list. Seriously, how the f*** does he lead in #1 votes. My list: The lower it got though, the less ranking became clear 1.Frank Thomas 2.Ed Walsh 3.Paul Konerko 4.Mark Buehrle 5.Eddie Collins 6.Nellie Fox 7.Luis Aparicio 8.Ted Lyons 9.Billy Pierce 10.Carlton Fisk 11.Minnie Minoso 12.Joe Jackson 13.Luke Appling 14.Harold Baines 15.Ozzie Guillen 16.Red Faber 17.Robin Ventura 18.Dick Allen 19.Eddie Cicotte 20.Wilbur Wood 21.A.J. 10. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jun 22, 2012 -> 04:59 PM) Didn't Stewart just get DFA'd? Demoted. Why can no one get it through their skulls Stewart is a 24 year old who should be starting in AAA to develop pitches. Christ.
  11. I hate LeBron and Wade even more. Bosh I've warmed up too, but that's cause he's f***ing weird. Wade and James are still grade A cocksuckers.
  12. This also tells me Stewart is being made a starter.
  13. All good moves, except I might have wanted a non-Bruney reliever
  14. The responses the past page has me cracking up.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) Aside from being outspoken, Ozzie Guillen is well respected throughout baseball. Who is on all the TV shows during the postseason? Ozzie Guillen is one of the top five managers in baseball.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 11:10 PM) Sooooo, why is it not ok to hate Lebron anymore? He was the one who guaranteed seven rings or whatever it was. Now all is forgotten because he got one? f*** outta here... I'm with this. So for one season, he finally justified his stupid ass nicknames? Unless he wins his eight rings like he said, he still fails, because he said it. Also, this Finals told me Wade is close to done.
  17. Unless he gets seven more, he's still a failure to me. I can't stand him.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) LeBron earned this one, but it sure irks me as a Bulls fan that we didn't even get a crack at Miami and we likely won't get a legitimate shot at them next year either. THIS.
  19. I can help with any modding if help is needed, but I'm definitely going to post a lot now that we seem committed to reopening it.
  20. Lol, BS call on Wade, but since he's the lord of begging refs for calls, I'm cool with it.
  21. Think of this way. We either have to deal with more LeBron love than usual...or we get to relish in his absolute collapse. Wilt was the first player to lose a 3-1 series lead, so it can happen.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) You had to wear it, DeAza, but your pitchers should have retaliated for you. It's bulls*** to let the Cubs nearly end Paulie's career and hit DeAza. The fact the Sox weren't still so pissed about Paulie to win the series tells me a lot about this team. It's going nowhere. Great great post. Pitching Stewart was an insult to every Sox fan alive. ANYBODY BUT ZACH is my motto. That was not even close to ending Paulie's career.
  23. For the current Bulls, Noah would fill the Rodman role in that he's versatile (and good) defensively, hustles, and grabs boards. Rose fills the Jordan role. The problem si there's no Pippen or Kukoc to take pressure off of Rose with shot creating. Obviously, that was not saying that Noah is Rodman or Rose is Jordan, just their roles, for anyone who wants to freak out about it. But anyone that wants to talk about how valuable Deng is, lets remember that he wasn't this current iteration of Deng until Thibs showed up. The old Deng is basically gone, he doesn't slash nearly as much and doesn't have the lethal midrange shot anymore. But, he became a better three point shooter and defender. I think that's a result of Thibs, so I think Thibs could do that with Barnes, though Barnes will most likely be taken by Cleveland, since Washington will probably take Beal now. Meanwhile, Noah's are incredibly rare, because he is the perfect center for Rose. He can run the floor with Rose, pass, hustles, etc.
