  1. It will never return if they continue with the same staff or promote within.
  2. The higher they get paid, the greater chance they give up a run.
  3. Well it is the Sox organization who hang on to former players to always remind us of mediocrity.
  4. Sometimes it's the team around you that makes you a better player. He probably regress if he were a Sox.
  5. When you add NL players they have to deal with pitchers they rarely faced. Grandal was starting to come around last season. They are not instant solutions.
  6. Part of me thinks when a player sucks they immediately blame it on injury.
  7. Plus 3 starters that are a crapshoot.
  8. and.............Sox fans have witnessed that before
  9. I get the impression that posters are thinking CLE is afraid to face Cease. No team is afraid to face the Sox no matter who is on the mound.
  10. Neither one provides what use to be the traditional role of a 2 hitter. The slow tired legs guy vs. the king of called 3rd strikes. If Robert gets on he is probably discouraged from stealing a base. I guess station to station baseball improves a teams health.
  11. That's the only way to tell the difference from a quality hotdog. Bar S vs. Nathans - there is a big difference. What could be worse is eating one without a bun.
  12. I like their chance of facing Bieber or Verlander than one of these guys.
  13. I find it amusing the amount of injuries in baseball these days. It is a mystery.
  14. Herman Franks use to do that with Sutter.
  15. Wasn't the wisest move but part of me liked the gutsy move.
  16. LOL! Trying to figure out the logic in this statement.
  17. Part of the problem is they get them from the NL. Changing leagues is not easy especially for the Sox.
  18. No accountability in the whole organization.
  19. You have to see what they can do under different coaching where the changes need to be made. Those probably won't be big changes because they will be insiders from the mired in mediocrity organization. All coaches should be replaced. You can't have Boston and McEwing out there dealing with stupid base runners. I think Katz can be easily replaced. Tony and the batting coach are no brainers. You can't get rid of players just to rid them without equal or better replacements. Amazed that even bad pitching is expensive so you keep Gio. They also need to stay away from NL players.
  20. Stink spreads. Hate to see my favorite guy out of the pen have a bad stint.
  21. I like this pitcher for CLE. He doesn't waste time on the mound.
  22. You'd think some of these hitters would figure that out on their own.
