The only joke is how laughable your complete trash comments about Abreu continue to be. -

Where is that “b****ing, moaning, and whining about Moncada” thread when ya need it! -
You just have to hope the investment in all of the reps at the Major League level, as ugly as they’ve been since he was called up last season, will have a huge payoff once it all “clicks” with him. It’s admittedly an “if” versus a “when” scenario at the moment, but hopefully that massive potential will, in fact, finally translate into all that we are hoping for.

As opposed I guess to when Dylan Cease’s name is brought up, because he tends to gush about him. -

The Yanks were building up a lot of momentum leading up to that catch, but maybe now the momentum pendulum will swing in the Sox’ favor. -

Avi literally golfed that ball out of there. -
You are guilty as charged.

And the “blow it up” part which you accused the poster of implying? Where did you come up with that?
-
Yes, the return on the trade of Chris Sale does not matter. You are so right. Such an irrational thought for a White Six fan to have. ??♂️
-
The poster never said that.
-
Once again, I’m just talking about the return on the trade for Chris Sale. It needs to be something special, simple as that. It needs to be more special, for example, than the trade of the rental Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs, and look how that’s working out for the Yankees. And for what it’s worth, I actually do think the Sox will come out very nicely on that trade once it’s all said and done. I’m certainly not in any camp that suggests Moncada is a bust. I think he’s going to eventually be a monster, and god only knows what greatness is coming our way with Kopech. But that’s what I would expect when we trade a player of Sale’s caliber at his age with the contact he had. Nothing less!

The response was to a post about the past vs. the present, not about the potential future. But cute use of graphics - best contribution to the conversation thus far!
-
Lol - geez, you’ve hit rock bottom if Ron is breaking bad on you!
-
Six straight years of it, whatever it is.
-
The present is a current 10-1 deficit at the hands of the Royals in the 6th.
-
What’s beyond understanding is you understanding the simple point I’m trying to make, which is you need to get something mighty special in a return for trade involving the surrender of Chris Sale. Forget the rebuild - just the straight up trade of Sale. Getting anything short of a future star is a future fail of a trade.
-
The return on the trade of a player of Chris Sale’s caliber IS a BIG DEAL, always, rebuild or otherwise.
-
Oh, you’re right. You are so right. The return from trading your best asset at the start of a rebuild would mean nothing in regards to the rebuild. What was I thinking! Silly me....
-
Glad you’re not the GM. Hahn did not enter into the Sale deal thinking it was ok to come out of it without at least one future star to show for it.

State-subsidized profits year in and year out have a way of effecting unusual behaviors...

The “culture of losing” brought to our fan base by the current loser owner of the White Sox is both past and present. Six straight years now of the kind of horrific baseball we’ve witnessed during that span and are now as we currently speak. Nothing past tense about that, and it would explain the team’s current TV ratings which are last on the planet. This of course is reminiscent of the mid-to-late 80s and mid-to-late 90s Reinsdorf teams, but I don’t want to saddle you with too much of the team’s sad history under the current loser owner. I know that’s more than you can handle. Meanwhile, just one lone trip to the postseason in the 13 years now since October 2005, and just four games at that with just one win. Just four playoff games and one win in the last 13 years. Surely you must be looking forward to the eventual change in the team’s ownership with THAT kind of pathetic record on hand.
