  1. How hard is it to get through your f***ing thick skull that I am talking about a specific situation and not generalzing? Just f***ing go away if you won't engage me on my actual claims.
  2. Yes, because all but the absolutely most laughable cases get settled out of court. So there is not a big win rate if it gets to court.
  3. They may be hard to win, but very few go to trial since legal is underfunded and just mandates a settlement most of the time, because from the employe's standpoint settling is less expensive than fighting the lawsuit. Again, I'm not talking about nationwide, but where I work 8 of the last 10 promotions at my level have gone to minorities and the other two to women.
  4. The "Market" would correct this because in the "Market" they wouldn't be allowed to file a complaint in the first place. And don't get me wrong, I'm not against anti-discrimination laws, but the standard for proving discrimination is way too low, and there are no protections for people who are actually earning positions/promotions and then having them yanked away via frivolous discrimination claims.
  5. I'm not talking about white people as a group. I'm talking about me. I've been a victim of reverse discrimination, because minorities have an incredibly low burden of proof to prove that they have been discriminated against, and thus I can't get a promotion any time there is any minority eligible, regardless of individual qualifications, because there is no budget to fight lawsuits. But nobody has the balls to say that this isn't right, because it somehow implies something negative about minorities.
  6. So discrimination against one person is fine so long as it isn't systemic?
  7. I guess it's hilarious if it's never happened to you--three times.
  8. No, because I'm not the one defending LGBT discrimination and I don't condone it, but I do want to point out that the laws that protect classes that have historically been discriminated against, have been abused to the point that people outside those classes often get screwed.
  9. Can we include whites who get fired/passed over for promotions because the minority is threatening a lawsuit???
  10. I'm not watching the game, but a scoreless first against NOR has to be a bit of a disappointment for CAN. Especially when goal difference is a tiebreaker and the US is already +6 in their group.
  11. They do have sinkhole insurance, but some of those cars are irreplaceable. You can't just take the insurance money and go buy them all again. There's only one "millionth Corvette made".
  12. Some parts more than others though.
  13. LOL, 6-1 now, and with goal differential being a tiebreaker in medal round seeding, I don't see this stopping anytime soon.
  14. Nothing to be nervous about in the US game. 5-1 now. Slovakia changing goalies, because you know, it's the goalie's fault that the US is getting all those point blank shots.
  15. Kane gets an assist for the US to take a 2-1 lead! Is nobody else watching this?
  16. Wow, more officiating misadventures. Slovakia scores an offsides goal but it isn't called. Tied 1-1.
  17. I went for one day during Spring Break in 1993, when it was in Sarasota.
  18. Motherf***er! My work picks today to begin blocking access to Olympics live streams.
  19. Tip of the day: Don't build a museum for expensive cars in an area with lots of caves.
  20. I give 3:1 odds he gets a pardon from Obama.
