  1. The fix is very easy--don't award the Winter Games to a city where the average February high is 50 degrees.
  2. US women's hockey getting hosed every which way. This refs are awful. How do you allow a goal that crosses the line after the whistle has blown the play dead? Not to mention the incredibly unfair penalties. Also Canada with 6 skaters on the ice during a change at least twice.

People all over the Midwest who are going to Florida for Spring Break plan their trips around avoiding rush hour in Atlanta.
  4. Shuster won a game!!! The US team played well, but man Denmark misplayed nearly every single shot.
  5. Yes, but if you only ever watch sports, and have a friend who watches the same sports, you can have one cable subscription and one sling box instead of two cable subscriptions. OR, if you live outside of the range of CSN Chicago and your father lives inside the range, you can watch Sox games on the Sling Box while he is watching at home.
  6. Yes, it's specifically mentioned in the mlb.tv agreement. A sling box isn't though, if you want to get the product legally.
  7. So there's the solution, we get everybody on Soxtalk to share one cable/satellite login account and we can each watch live sports for $0.01/month!
  8. FYI: If you want to watch prime time coverage unspoiled, I suggest you unsubscribe to Tribune e-mail alerts.
  9. Yes, for most of the sports channels, online access to live events is tied to having a cable/satellite service. Even the live Olympics stream requires it, even though NBC is an over-the-air network. I wonder if there won't be a provider out there that won't eventually market a sports-only package designed as a supplement to Netflix/Hulu.
  10. It's not a very good sign when most of your roster can be candidates for "breakout season".

Is your meet against teams far enough away that their weather is different? If not, then you are getting the same amount of preparation.

  14. How do you get -1% of the vote???
  15. Well, the online live feed does not have commentary, so I couldn't tell if the US team was using terrible strategy, executing horribly, or some combination of both.
  16. The Sox were never considering signing any compensatory guy to any deal other than McCann.
  17. This just happened: (Yellow = USA Women, Red = GBR Women)
  18. They had a couple pretty bad shots, but yeah, China made some pretty unbelievable ones. Women choked on it big time against Russia though. Had a pretty easy draw to get two and missed it to get only one. Had another pretty easy draw to get one, missed it and Russia got two.
  19. I would be fine with it, but then again, of all the guys in a locker room, I'm probably the least likely to excite a gay guy.
  20. Yes, the US team is bad, but Norway is executing some fairly difficult shots perfectly.
  21. Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
  22. Horrendous game by the women's curling team.
