  1. I don't think it's the same thing. Pretty much all but the most extreme fringe religions now accept integration and have for a while. I don't think that is ever going to be the case with homosexuality.
  2. He can't get fired or get in trouble for what he said on OTL. It's an ESPN show and they asked him to appear on the show and they pretty much knew what he was going to say. I think it was a bad idea on ESPN's part to have one of their own employees take that view when they could have gotten the pastor of a church or someone like that to state the same view, but ESPN certainly can't sanction him for what he said. Now, if he had gone on a local radio show or something like that without ESPN knowing about it and said the same things, that might have been different.
  3. I don't think it's a matter of whether or not some kind of assault would occur. If you were (uninvited) in a room full of naked women, most, if not all of the women would feel violated to some degree that you were getting some enjoyment out of seeing them naked. As straight men, we understand that, and somehow that understanding translates to straight men feeling violated that gay men might be getting some enjoyment out of seeing us naked. I think it's dumb, but I understand where that connection comes from.
  4. If Outside the Lines wants to have somebody on who advocates the religious belief that homosexuality is wrong, that's fine, but that somebody shouldn't be an ESPN employee.
  5. It is important to have a backup goal though, since most players don't ever win a championship.
  6. The Jets better hope he doesn't throw like Juan Pierre.
  7. Biggest voting block in this contest has clearly been Cards fans. Voting for their Cards on one side of the bracket and then the Sox on the other side just to piss Cubs fans off more.
  8. Off the beaten path but I used to live right by Healy's on Madison in Forest Park and really liked it.
  9. Yeah, already in April there have been losses of 1-0, 2-1, 3-1 (twice) and 3-2.
  10. Matt Moore (LHP) 4-0, 1.04 vs Gavin Floyd (RHP) 0-3, 4.98
  11. Am I supposed to be noticing a difference?
  12. Mike & Mike just mentioned it but said they were told by Vitale that it was diagnosed and caught very early and he should be OK.
  13. This guy: Peavy (RHP) 2-1, 3.20 vs this guy: Wait, not THAT guy, THIS guy: Hernandez (RHP) 1-3, 4.74
  14. Bears ruined what the Sox and Bulls were making into a good night.
  15. Bengals couldn't get that Eifert pick in fast enough.
  16. Clock running low, working on a trade??
  17. Yeah, I keep forgetting most of you are on Central. OK, Bears are up. I'll be happy with Floyd or Eifert here. I know I said Te'o earlier but that's because I thought the other two would be gone.
  18. Started at 8 but teams get 10 minutes a pick so that's 5+ hours.
  19. Well, only one more pick before the Bears so at least one of Floyd and Eifert will be there and I thought both would be long gone by now.
  20. You want to say he's not a first round pick, fine, but calling him an undrafted FA makes you look like a f***ing troll.
  21. Yes, trading down is the obvious choice, but somebody has to be willing to give the Bears value for that pick. You can't trade down 10 spots if the best offer you get is a 4th round pick.
