Just wondering about those BP projections--is it possible those were major league projections and they were saying that if he were to play in the majors this year he'd hit .181 or are they actually projecting him to hit .181 in the minors this year?

Even when he hit 2 pair on the turn he still had to catch one of the two remaining jacks in the deck on the river to win. You were still 95.5% to win the hand.

What people should do and what they actually do (especially in a charity tournament) are two very different things. My experience is that at least 75-80% of players will call a single raise with any two Broadway cards, probably closer to 90% if they're suited.

I agree that you should raise more than 2x BB, but I also think that a lot of players are going to call with J10 even with a bigger raise, and aren't going to fold top pair on the flop nor two pair on the turn regardless of the bet size. He was 99.8% to win after that flop (assuming neither had a backdoor flush draw) and got incredibly unlucky.

I've been thinking 86 wins and second place, but yeah, essentially the same thing.

Yes, and then, after showing 100+ Yankees and/or Red Sox games on MLBN and ESPN during the season, and very few Blue Jays/A's/Indians games (or whoever ends up being the surprise playoff entrants) MLB will complain about low TV ratings for the playoffs.

I agree with that. There are very large chunks of Sox territory that do not get CSN or WCIU. The Sox need to either push MLB to re-define the territories, or start marketing CSN more aggressively to the parts of their territory that don't have it (I'm thinking of Indy in particular).

Not sure of your skill level, but tips for beginners: 1) An ace with a nine or worse is a very weak hand and novices lost a lot of chips playing such hands 2) Suited cards are overrated. Don't play hands just because they are suited, and if you have good cards that happen to be suited don't blow a lot of chips chasing flushes. 3) Bet/raise with strong hands rather than just checking/calling
