  1. Tubby out at Minn http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball...ut-at-minnesota
  2. I leave Wednesday for the three day vacation in Indianapolis. So there!
  3. I'm guessing it wouldn't make financial sense for the Pac-12 or even the MWC to take on any non-football memebers, though for the Pac-12 especially it would certainly raise the level of play in the conference. They're too far away to be considered for the MVC, A-10 or the new Big East.
  4. If the tournament were re-seeded: MIDWEST 1 Louisville vs 4 Florida-Gulf Coast 2 Ohio State vs 3 Arizona WEST 1 Miami vs 4 Oregon 2 Michigan State vs 3 Syracuse SOUTH 1 Kansas vs 4 Wichita State 2 Florida vs 3 Michigan EAST 1 Indiana vs 4 LaSalle 2 Duke vs 3 Marquette
  5. Which is great for them, but the seeding not only screwed them, it screwed their opponents. I think avoiding early round conference matchups goes too far when it destroys bracket integrity.
  6. Well, MSU is my second favorite school--don't know if that counts.
  7. RPI is a terrible way to judge teams/conferences. The secret to having a great RPI is to load up your nonconference schedule with a bunch of teams that are just a tiny bit worse than you, so you can still have a great record but a non-terrible SOS.
  8. Virginia is the #1 seed, so they will get the game at home unless an arena scheduling conflict prevents it.
  9. That was pretty insane, and with the other two CONCACAF games ending in draws it puts the US in good shape.
  10. I'm guessing Costa Rica doesn't have a lot of experience with the snow.
  11. Brilliant defensive strategy by Mike Brey--let them shoot wide open 3s and hope they miss.
  12. I don't care about his studio stuff--I hate him as a person.
  13. I hate him less on CBS, but only because I watch CBS less.
  14. Brad Stevens has been officially added to my list of "Coaches I'll Never Ever Pick to Be Upset by a Lower Seed"
  15. Except that Butler is much better at it than Purdue.
  16. Probably, yes, but at least ND's basketball team makes it to the postseason most years. IU football is not quite in that same category.
  17. Is $1M more really going to affect the cap that much? Even if so, Briggs loves him enough to restructure his deal to create $1M more in cap room.
  18. On the flip side, it would actually make me respect the Cubs a bit. I might even not root against them in the playoffs (assuming they aren't playing the Sox).
  19. I definitely don't think Urlacher is worth a multi-year deal or even a big one-year deal, but if he was really willing to play on a 1/$3M contract, I have a hard time understanding why he couldn't get that.
  20. I don't think any of them will go pro, but I think one or two of them might transfer, especially if Cal lets them go without having to sit out a year.
  21. Normally the higher seed gets to host, but Iowa is hosting women's 1st-2nd round games Sunday-Tuesday (I only know this because it's where ND is playing) so unless they can have a quick turnaround and play Friday, it's probably going to have to be at Stony Brook.
  22. I think they would be called the Chicago Cubs of Rosemont.
  23. Yeah, they're all pretty fat . . . oh wait, you mean a different overhang.
