I clicked on http://www.whitesox.com/satc and it gave me a list of games, one of which was July 4. When I tried to get tickets for July 4, there was no box present where I could enter the code. I checked a few other dates on the list and all of them allowed me to enter the code, but not July 4. Also, here: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/ticket...cial_events.jsp is a list of a whole bunch of games with special discounts.

I read the Deadspin article. It proves this was a hoax. It doesn't prove anything about him being in on it.
