  1. I'd be on board with Arians, though he might be disqualified from coaching the Bears since he technically has 10 weeks of head coaching experience.
  2. The Bears won 10 games this year with them, which tells you just how good the defense was.
  3. 2-14, cause it's always important to beat the Packers and 2-14 is usually good enough for the #1 pick anyway.
  4. Sox have Konerko and Dunn so he'd have to be able to play 100+ games in the outfield for him to be worth acquiring, unless you think Dunn can still play OF.
  5. Giants did not need help Week 17. They got in solely by winning.
  6. If in Week 17 your playoff scenario includes the phrase, "AND Team Y loses" then you are backing into the playoffs.
  7. I didn't even think half of them were that funny.
  8. The Bears do not have the makeup of teams like the Giants and Steelers that came from nowhere to win the Super Bowl, especially with Forte and Urlacher either out or at least nowhere near 100%.
  9. What is backing into the playoffs and getting clobbered in the first round really worth? Does that really make you feel that much better about the Bears? It does nothing for me.
  10. I don't see any way Robin doesn't have Keppinger batting 2nd if those are the 9 starters.
  11. I understand that all of the Sox pitchers have some sort of question mark, but when your starting rotation have career ERA+ of 150, 116, 115, 109, and 100, and your top four releivers have career ERA+ of 182, 136, 128, and 95, you can't reasonably be considered the 27th best team no matter how many holes the lineup has.
  12. I want the Vikings to win because it could cost GB a bye and thus hurt their chances of reaching the Super Bowl, and the Bears aren't going anywhere even if they do make it in. I have better things to do on January 5 than watch the Bears lose by 30+ at SF.
  13. 13 deserves to be retired before 12, and that's not even taking into account the managing portion of the career.
  14. Here's a fun game: Take the projected lineup above and compare their 2011 OPS totals (Keppinger's was with TB) with the 2011 AL averages for their respective positions (in the field, not in the batting order). Without looking it up, how many differentials can you match to the correct players? +.097 +.080 +.067 +.042 +.003 +.001 -.005 -.014 -.020
  15. But not in one of those hotel rooms facing the field with the curtains open.
  16. Later in that same article they mentioned a game where Aaron Cook pitched 6 full innings without a single walk or strikeout--and Adam Dunn was in the lineup. It also mentioned that Houston had a better record than Texas after Labor Day.
  17. I just used it on Chicago & DC and it matches up pretty well with my experiences with both cities.
  18. I really wanna see AJ try to hit Sale. Should be a good laugh.
  19. Yes, but they also play it with both teams in the same city. You try getting from Chicago to Indy today and let me know how that works for you.
  20. This has always been the first thing I think of whenever anybody mentions Fisk.
  21. I don't hate Viciedo. However, the Sox lineup as a whole is way too right-handed and way too low-OBP, and Viciedo is the right-handed low-OBP buy with the most trade value. I wouldn't advocate moving him just to get rid of him, but if he can be part of a deal that makes a significant improvement in the OBP of this team, I think it needs to be done. He also does not have much defensive value.
  22. Paulie is the only player. Harold and Coop are coaches who remain from 2005.
