  1. OK, anytime anybody mentions Danny Kaye, all I can think of is:
  2. Speculation is that the ACC grabs UConn to replace Maryland, which sends Louisville and Boise State begging the Big 12 to take them.
  3. Nearly every team that gets to 11-0 or better against a difficult schedule needs some luck to get there.
  4. I don't understand why the Big Ten would pass up the New York market for the Atlanta market, especially at a time when GT is down in both football and basketball.
  5. My vote would be: 1 Braxton Miller 2 Manti Te'o 3 Johnny Manziel I don't disagree with your point about Tuitt and Nix--they are absolute beasts (both are back next year by the way), but Te'o is the piece that makes the machine run so well. Still, I'd rather see him win SI Sportsman of the Year than the Hiesman. Braxton Miller has had an amazing year and if OSU beats Michigan I think he deserves it.
  6. Wait a second . . . nope, Oregon still stuck on 14 points.
  7. Having an opinion isn't disrespectful, but when you spend weeks talking about how much better Oregon and KSU are than ND and then those two go out and wet themselves, then expect to hear about it.
  8. I can't find the link now, but I read somewhere that in the history of the BCS rankings, SEC teams are the only ones to score a "perfect" score by getting 100% of the first place votes in both polls and being first in every computer ranking. Apparently some SEC coaches are very determined to keep it that way.
  9. I don't mind the Sunday night games so much because I usually watch that game anyway, but I don't like all the Monday and Thursday games.
  10. Yes, I will admit that Oregon's defense was much better than I expected.
  11. Notre Dame was 4th on one coach's ballot. I'm willing to bet that coach won't have the balls to do that in two weeks when the votes get made public.
  12. But why didn't Oregon's amazing unstoppable offense have them ahead by 30 points when that play happened? I don't understand . . .
  13. I've been watching for almost 7 hours now and I'm still waiting for this incredible Oregon offense to get to 15 points . . .
  14. There's no limit to the amount of money I'd put on Stanford at +21.
  15. I've watched all 3 teams play. I'd put KSU slightly ahead of ND and both of them quite a bit ahead of Oregon. Their defense is terrible. And yes, it has everything to do with pre-season rankings this late in the season. Go back to previous years and look at how the rankings of undefeated teams in week 9-10 compares to their preseason rankings.
  16. Hey look, lots of offense! Something shiny! Oregon is ranked #1 because they were ranked ahead of KSU and ND pre-season. That's the only reason.
  17. I don't think Duke is anywhere near as strict about admissions as Stanford and ND, and I think NW is even stricter than all of them.
  18. OK, I misread the title and thought it said that Hooters was closing. I was almost in tears when I realized my error. I can live without Hostess.
  19. Overall 2012 OPS+ was 99, but it was 106 after the trade so you can't discount the impact of the trade/injury on his 2012 season. He figures to be an above average player and there certainly aren't better FA options.
  20. Of course you care about Notre Dame--look at how much you are posting about them.
  21. I would think that one adult bringing 2+ kids to the ballpark is not the norm, plus as others have noted parking tips the balance anyway.
  22. Yes, I watched the game. I watched ND wear down Oklahoma for three quarters to the point that Oklahoma had nothing left in the fourth.
