You mean a report full of a bunch of hearsay and no evidence? -
Only way it makes sense to give Johnson a roster spot is if Paulie or Dunn is being traded.

Oh, and Illinois wouldn't? That's a bunch of bulls***. Just get over your jealous hate. Your pathetic school can't beat top ten teams in any sport. -

Not if he was saying it about Kentucky. -
Something like that, though remember that the bullpen losing the lead in any inning is considered a blown save, not just the 9th.

Had one of the strangest job search experiences ever: Applied for a job via CareerBuilder Monday. Got a call from HR person about 2 hours later to set up a phone screening with her for the following day. Received e-mail confirming day and time for phone screening. Never got call at the appointed day/time. Called my contact to try and find out what the mix-up was and got her voice mail. Got an email from her an hour later telling me that she had set the appointment in her calendar for the wrong day. Re-set the appointment for the following day and got a confirmation email. Again, got no call at the appointed day/time. Again called my contact to try and find out what's up and got voice mail. Got an email from her an hour later telling me that her company had an "impromptu announcement event" that she had to attend and asked me when would be a good time to reschedule. I sent her some suggested days/times. That was 24 hours ago and I haven't heard back from her. I've come to the conclusion that she's either f***ing with me or grossly incompetent. Are there any other possible answers?

Would this be a bad time to bring up a lack of protection for Cutler's backside?

Maybe I'm reading way too much into this, but the fact that Rock seems so certain about this trade but that it hasn't happened yet could be that a NTC needs to be waived???

KC replacing Chen with Liriano in their rotation would be just about the best thing ever. -
Beckham may be able to play an average SS, but he'll never be as good as Alexei there. At whatever point somebody else takes over for Alexei at SS, I think we'll all realize how awesome he really is there.

Well-liked means probably not Rios, Dunn, or Beckham. Paulie is certainly well liked but I can't see him approving a trade to anywhere but Arizona. That leaves DeAza, Viciedo, and Ramirez as the most likely candidates, unless we're talking pitchers. It it is Paulie, though, that really isn't the worst thing in the world. Viciedo moves to 1B/DH with Dunn, and corner OF is certainly where the FA/trade market is strongest. I also think Paulie might be done.

Either that or dead.

If anybody is going, please take along some candy bars and give them to Sale.

Yes, and that 5 miles has more cars than 10 miles of the Dan Ryan. -

True story: Between my freshman and sophomore years at ND, we got a new phone/voice mail system in the dorms. The first person to discover that a voice mail message had a four-minute limit? Vitale's daughter. -
OK, I'll give you the Panthers game but the Lions scored to cut the lead to 6 very late in the game. There was very little chance the Lions could win.
-
Except the Bears. Neither their wins nor their losses are very close. I guess you could say the Houston game was close but the Bears were pretty much sunk without Cutler in the second half.
-
How much are you willing to offer Josh Hamilton?

FOX has to set their TV schedule and pick their games. FOX's window will be 4-7 (ET) some Saturdays and 7-10 on others. On home Saturdays that the Sox are not on FOX, they will play during the window not taken by FOX.

Given the alternatives at each position, I'd much rather have Youk back than AJ. There is at least a chance that Flowers matches AJ's production. Even if Youk is only healthy half the year he'll produce better than any of the other 3B alternatives.
-
Except for Saturdays, game times are pretty easy to predict.

Louisville stations reporting that the meeting is underway right now, and the only options on the table are adding Louisville or adding nobody. I figured that FSU and Clemson would tell the Carolina schools they needed to get Louisville in order to keep them from bolting to the Big 12. EDIT: Now official--Louisville to ACC -

Yes he did, and it's effective until December 2016. -
Half the distance to the goal line (a) only occurs inside the opponents' 30 yard line (b) involves zero (goal line) as one of the endpoints. You start asking refs to find the midpoint between the offense's 32 and the defense's 24 and you're asking for problems.
