Sox @ Jays 5/12 12:07CT Happy Mothers Day!

Look at his entire month. Batting .222 with a .627 OPS and a 33% k-rate, and that's not including today. -

Don't look now, but Moncada is plummeting down to Earth. .277 BA with .823 OPS. On April 29th, he had a K-rate of 22.6%, but in May it's been 35.7%, climbing to 26.9% overall. Really hope he's not abandoning the adjustments which made him so lethal in April. -

Total bases divided by ABs. So ((singles)+(doubles*2)+(triples*3)+(homers*4))/ABs. -

How did Jason end up talking about Egyptian brain removal procedures? -

I thought Rodon was heading for TJ. Either way, I've mostly given up on him being anything significant for us at this point. Shame. -

Yeah, I know, I don't think one of us would want Tim getting drilled for being Tim, but I just wanted to point out that the Blue Jays have a history of celebratory douchiness. Also, with the Rangers as my second team, Rougned Odor punching Bautista in the face is an all-time favorite baseball moment for me. Edit: "Odor's now 2 for 5 today." ROFLMAO -

For a team that once employed Jose Bautista, the Blue Jays have ZERO room to protest overblown homerun reactions. -

And Yonder's eventual DFA is thus delayed. Yay. -
McCann's bat is going to regress, but that's smart baseball that can't be taught. For a team that does stupid defensive things so commonly, and has for years, that's awesome to see. Who else is in the James McCann fan club?
-
Nice try, Charlie, but I do appreciate how Jason mentions that he was about 20 feet away from his first MLB homerun. Ah yes, soooooo close. Night, everyone!
-
I might caveat myself by pointing out that his BABIP is shit (.184, or something like that), but when I watch him, except for the occasional bomb, it doesn't even look like he hits it hard. And no adjustments are made to beat the shift. And ultimately, at some point, he does have to actually produce. A .626 OPS at 1B isn't gonna be OK just because his peripherals suck.
-
We should just DFA him. He had some use when he was briefly walking more than he was striking out, but it seems that's over now.
-
Honestly, this is just going to come down to Timmy's last at-bat. If he can do something, we have a chance. If not, better luck tomorrow.
-
Nicky wasn't even close on those. Same shitty swing three times over. Garbage player.
-
Surprise! Dylan Covey isn't very good.

GIDP for Guerrero. 6-38. It's nice watching someone else's prospects come up and blow. We're not alone, guys!
-
That'd be fine with me. Alonso's here for one reason, and it was always idiotic and it's now expired. Alex Call hasn't played yet in the Cleveland system, and wasn't that special to begin with, so no loss, but let's put this one to rest.
-
Alonso and Castillo are total wastes of roster spots. Also, Leury is hitting .290 and Ricky has him bunt with two strikes? He's not Adam Engel. Ricky is stupid.
-
The British Museum. Indian food on Brick Lane. Harrod’s. Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, and a play. Depending on how much you like that sort of stuff to begin with, of course.

Ricky fucking sucks. -
I'm genuinely curious- where do you people get it in your heads that I want him to fail? Explain that. I think he has an issue, I want him to take it slow so that he can fix that issue, I loudly advocate as much, and when that issue persists in even the slightest way, geniuses like you assume I'm excited? It'd be like assuming that someone who goes to a city council meeting and complains about violent crime rates is happy the next time a man gets shot dead. It's idiotic.

Robert Ks swinging.

Tim is cooling off. We all know he's not going to hit .370, but honestly, if he hits .260 with a .730 OPS, I'll think it's a success. Same with Moncada- if he hits .270 with an .770 OPS, I'll be thrilled. My expectations for hitting prospects in this organization are shit. -
Classy. Because having criticism of a player and wanting him to move slow means you must have some sort of personal blood feud with the player.
-
Fine, fair point on the injury. Regardless, let his current supernatural performance continue more than 17 games before promoting him to the toughest hitter's spot in our farm system.
