  1. I'm not the one criticizing it at all. I'm simply saying if he's using them as an example of what not to do that's a pretty bad example. They traded for pieces and won a World Series. There's a chance they win one this year too. As much as we don't want to say it it's there. I like what they did. They saw the team growing by leaps and bounds so they fed the fire. Remember 2015? The spark was there. 2019 was for me that year.
  2. and the Cubs haven't been competitive since then? They are in it right now. We've seen Dunning pitch what once? He's just as much as an unknown as the others. Winning one World Series is hard enough. Lets start there.
  3. If we win the World Series this year after trading for Lynn I'm sure there will be a long line of people going "Yes we won the World Series....but Rick Hahn needs to be fired for trading Dunning. We needed him for 2022!".
  4. Trading Dunning is going to close the window earlier? Weird....it's like Kopech, Crochet and Kelley don't exist. Oh and the Cubs won a World Series. Thought I'd mention that.
  5. Here's the thing. Maybe Rick Hahn doesn't believe the window hasn't opened yet. Maybe just maybe he see's the team excelling and is going to go after it because he knows the plethora of pitching prospects that we do have. Just a thought. I think he's probably entertaining trades of prospects you'd be screaming if we traded.
  6. His defense last year was very very good. This year it's been meh. But that's just a small sample with a really bad team.
  7. What's being impatient about trying to capitalize on the moment now? They have other guys waiting in the wings to pitch. We need someone in the middle of the rotation now.
  8. Why not? I'd do that. That's a fair deal for Lynn.
  9. You know I'm getting used to this team just scoring at will
  10. Yeah this is how I feel too. Right now we're still riding the lightning with Cease. We have alot of starts that are toss ups. The offense can't bail out Lopez or Gio if we get 2-3 bad starts in a row from them each time. We need someone like Lynn right in the middle of this rotation. This team would go deep in the playoffs with that setup. Right now atleast for me anybody should be on the table trade wise in that regard. Let's do some damage in the playoffs.
  11. CB deserves some praise. Well called game
  12. You couldnt drag him out of this game
  13. Good news is the RNC nonsense is kind of taking up most of Twitter right now. That and basketball.
  14. Me too. The fiance was looking at me like a crazy man. I'm supposed to be working too.
  15. On the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.....nope
  16. Your probably being generous. He gets by with very good defense. We don't need a black hole in the lineup.
  17. But we'll get to see him dance in the clubhouse....so how much WAR is that?
