  1. No just that they aren't comparable as you stated. One teams offseason was more expensive for a reason.
  2. I've never made a definitive statement anywhere in my convo to you just not. You can be down on the guy and still see what's going to happen. What choice do we have? He's gonna pitch for better or for worse.
  3. They didn't do either and how significant were those talks? Sox weren't even mentioned the entire trade deadline(the actual day) with either of those guys. Could have been a "You want who for Lynn?" *Hang up*. So don't blow smoke up my ass with this. I'll give him credit when I actually see it.
  4. Like I said for the 3rd time. We will see. I'm not skeptical and pretty down on him.
  5. That's because Lester is a TOR when signed. Keuchle was maybe? #3 or #4? But luckily for us he turned into our #2.
  6. From the Cubs? Yeah it's going to be Bryant probably. The main problem is if you deem Kopech,Dunning and Vaughn as untouchable I'm not liking our chances making a significant trade. I still think trading for a starting pitcher is probably the way they'll go.
  7. Did I say to quit on him? Another strawman. I said "The problem is it's looking like he may not take that next step". He's going to get another month and probably a playoff start. I can't wait.
  8. Who were they willing to trade? We heard alot of rumors and didn't sound like they were close on anything. I'm not sure if a weird offseason will change their untouchable list.
  9. Did I say that? The idea is will they be more hesitant again next year to give up prospects due to covid. I love how your always ready to jump the gun and strawman any argument.
  10. Strange you talk like he came up just 2 weeks ago. Like I said he'll get his playoff start like everyone desperately wants. Let's see if he can locate his fastball.
  11. Difference is. Theo moved some chips in the middle of the table. Is Hahn going to do that next year? Will he be allowed to? Or are we going to hold onto the prospects and make minimal moves?
  12. Hell the Rangers even said this when talking about their horrible deadline. JD basically came out and said we aren't doing anything this offseason because we are in a crunch. There's plenty of warning signs that this offseason is going to be quite a bit different. But it'll be just what some people want. Gives us an excuse to kick the can down the road another year. and no we're not heading to a fun October. We're heading for a quick exit. This pitching staff won't get us out of round 1. No way.
  13. What do you want a pat on the back? With one more pitcher they had a pretty good chance of doing some damage. Now it's a toss up at who's starting. The main issue is Cease hasn't taken the next step yet. The problem is it's looking like he may not take that next step.
  14. Cease and Lopez getting shelled by the Yankees is all part of the plan apparently.
  15. We clearing don't need another pitcher.
  16. Probably because Lopez can't throw strikes and Minnesota can hit.
  17. Right off the end of the bat
  18. Yolmer hitting pitches he needs a golf club to get any elevation on
  19. Mazara. I don't like them back to back.
  20. Watching Dallas pitch before Lopez tomorrow is nice
  21. I'd rather only have 1 black hole batting a night. We have two tonight.
  22. I didn't say he isn't a MLB player. But I'd rather him be on someone elses team. I've suffered enough watching him play.
  23. Why does the first part matter at all? He was on a bad time while also playing bad baseball.
