I agree. But I think the longer they stay in this rut the harder offseason will be without doing something "attention grabbing" .

I dont think they value a 30 year old pitch and a end of baseball career pitcher the same as two young position players.

I think ridiculous in the White Sox mind and more specifically in Jerry's mind could be different than what the Phillies are thinking.

Maybe it's just be Rabbit. But I don't think the Sox will make that "Phillies ridiculous" offer that may be needed to sign one of these guys. What do you think?

Exactly. Maybe I'm just extremely cynical about our position now. But I think it'll be more of the same next free agency too if we do miss out this go around.

I maintain that we shouldn't sign anyone if we fail on Harper and Manny. At that point we're screwed next year anyway. Might as well get another top draft pick.

Yeah the White Sox deserve the lack of respect right now. They stink and have for years. Rick doesn't make it happen and they are going to continue that mantra beyond next year.
