Avi's defensive metrics were fine in 2016 too, it's been a two year improvement, not one.
Look at the innings played in the OF

Lol sorry Avi is my original crush. I’ll go down swinging Baron
Oh I know. Tyler Flowers and him are my least favorite players of all time lol.

I?€™ll say this, it?€™s funny some people act like Avi is Schwarber out there in RF. He?€™s not
Well there's a nice standard to set. Good news...he's not complete s*** on defense.
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 07:46 PM)
Easily worst part of Renteria's managing
I hate bunting in pretty much all situations. Most of the time it's a free out. I dont like helping the other team.
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 07:24 PM)
Players can't improve?
I think on his best day being invisible on defense is probably as good as it gets. The rest of the time it's normally a problem. Which last year in DRS he technically was. The rest of his career your giving up runs by having him out there.
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 07:21 PM)
Yeah I hate above average defenders too
Your right. I should only look at last year and call it a day. Obviously the rest of his career was an anomaly.
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 04:56 PM)
Now imagine Eloy and Robert in this lineup.
Eloy I can imagine. Who knows what this lineup will look like when Robert comes up. Alot of changes between then and now I would imagine.

I call BS. The only Barstool guy I trust is Dave at this point. Carl’s Darvish “leak” was an epic failure.
And why the f*** would the Brewers take on that salary exactly? They’d have to be getting Glaybar Torres back.
I dont trust any of them.
Just curious...but has anybody gone through the defensive stats of the big 3 free agents at CF next year? I mean is the object to play horrible defense in the outfield?
I mean I'm all for spending as much money as possible. But I think trading for someone now then adding in free agency next year would be the way to go. Maybe at the deadline this year fine. But I dont like holding off until the last possible second then rushing in with the rest of the teams for big time talent. That's what it seems to me like what Hahn is trying to avoid.
