Eaton to Nats/Giolito, Lopez, Dunning to Sox
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:41 PM) Or the next two drafts? We're probably picking what top 5? top 10 next year? That sounds like position player time for me.

If they trade Q to Houston you dont think they'll get position players?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:32 PM) I like the rebuild but can I just say there will be no jubilation come April when they can't even sell out Opening Day? When we get into the thick of its it's going to get scary ugly. Those who pay close attention in the winter make a fanbase not. Alot of these guys unlike the Cubs prospects at the time though are nearly ready to play. If not this year then next year. But the top 2 guys wont take much time at all.

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) People are overthinking the rebuild if you're worried about not getting position players at the moment. Up until this coming deadline the goal should be to acquire as much talent as possible. The chips will fall into place after that. If in 2 years our "problem" is that we have too much talented young pitching it can be solved pretty easily. Starting pitching is always easy to move later. Exactly...Braves did just that not too long ago

Eaton to Nats/Giolito, Lopez, Dunning to Sox
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 04:11 PM) Two of the top 10 RHP prospects in baseball isn't bad. Not sure what Dunning is going to be, back end guy or in the pen, but good pick up. It appears the strategy is to focus on guys that are fairly developed and take a lot of the projection out of the hands of the scouting department. It probably cost a bit in terms of quantity, but a lot less risk in a deal like this than one that includes guys a long ways from their ceilings. Nationals were using Dunning as a starter

The Nationals fans hated trading Lopez. Like alot.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:59 PM) That we're getting more than one player back. Which should be obvious, given Adam's value. That's what I thought. I guess my eyes are all over the place right now.

What does this mean? Byron Kerr @masnKerr 3m3 minutes ago I'm hearing it's not straight up trade "multiple players" for Eaton says source https://twitter.com/masnKerr

QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 03:54 PM) LOL I didn't see you say this I just despise that team and it's front office. But if they want to give us prospects fine. We could have theoretically a top 10 farm system after this trade.

Eaton to Nats/Giolito, Lopez, Dunning to Sox
It would be hilarious if some other team swooped in now and got him. The Nationals deserve it. Well...mainly Rizzo but same difference.

Eaton to Nats/Giolito, Lopez, Dunning to Sox
Now everyone wants Robles. Amazing.

Quintana Rumors: Round and round and round we go
Dan Hayes told me the Nationals really arent that interested in Q.

Great I'm all for them gutting their system. I do remember though a Nationals Beat Writer saying that there was nothing serious with the Nationals and Q this morning

2016-17 free agency thread (NON WHITE SOX RELATED)
It cant be Jorge Soler+ for Wade Davis right? Davis has had a few DL stints and arm trouble.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 09:42 PM) So about Robertson... Maybe still to the Nationals. Wasnt Wade Davis on their list? If the Cubs get him he's off the list. If he nets Soler we can probably get a decent piece or two back.

Your response to Sale getting traded to the Red Sox
QUOTE (SI1020 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 09:00 PM) Moncada will not equal Trout, Kopech needs a lot of work and the other two guys look like filler at best to me. Wonderful. Alrighty then

Red Sox acquire Chris Sale, White Sox get Moncada+
QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 01:42 PM) Sure he will play in 2018. They just called up Benintendi directly from AA and he did fine. Devers will start 2017 in AA. Might even be a September callup if he has a great year. Oh he'll be a callup. I dont think he's full time starting though until 2019.

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 01:37 PM) They have Devers. LAD could use Frazier if Turner signs elsewhere. Devers isnt playing this year or next year

Red Sox acquire Chris Sale, White Sox get Moncada+
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) I never saw that Moncada was going to start in the MLB next year or ever felt that vibe. I would have put money on him going to AAA. Especially since Panda is there at 3B. Shaw would have been starting. Moncada was the "backup" plan. Panda I think they just wanted to bury. But they cant now.

Technically Boston did give up a guy from their lineup. With Shaw traded Moncada was in line for 3B. But now it's Panda with Devers about 2 years away.
