The more you look at this deal the more I realize that Detroit got away with highway robbery.Still cant believe Fielder is getting 24 million for the next 7 years.

As far as a backup depending on if he is healthy I think I would go with Flowers....and it pains me to say that because I honestly dont want to watch him play anymore. Either a trade or a free agent singing we need to get someone new in here. Cant go into next season with those two rotating at catcher again. The Ruiz contract however probably boosted Salty's market value a little bit. He still is though my number 1 option.
