Well it's different if Baker Mayfield is playing. She'll stand in a hurricane to watch him play football. I've been to Cleveland and Carolina watching him play in some absolute s%*# weather.

Yeah she has absolutely zero desire to go see them in any kind of cold weather. She's way too used to Texas warm weather. She was displeased when I stayed for an entire game when the Sox played the Indians in Cleveland later in the year. She never felt that Lake Front Wind before.

Nice! I'm going to take my girlfriend to Chicago for the first time this summer. I think I'll try and catch a game up there in May-June.

I was reading Heymans article from yesterday. He "confirmed" that the package of prospects the O's just traded was what they offered to Getz for Cease.

It's amusing that it's another Royal but as long as Gavin Sheets is gone I'm good. Like I said a month ago the bar is low for me but the fact that there are so many new faces makes this season already more exciting for me than last season.

Getz has been busy.

I don't even care how they perform. New faces are a welcome sight to the same old s%*# we've been dealt the past few years. There will always be 1 or 2 outliers that outperform the expected results that make it intriguing that add icing to the top. That's how low the bar is at this point.

Ultimately MLB needs to fix this and soon. An offseason that had Ohtani in it should not be the most boring offseason even in the past 5 years. It's only getting worse.

I think it was Passan or Ken that had an article recently that it's the players that are holding alot of advancements in this area up. If it was up to the owners according to that article they would have free agency dates and a floor. Plus it was mentioned in the article that Scott Boras loves an offseason like this because his players get paid eventually. He doesn't give a s%*# if this sport gets overshadowed by the rest of the sports during the offseason.
