  1. and today was a perfect picture of why being patient was the right move. Teams are overpaying massively for pitchers that have barely pitched in the past year or two. Cease's games pitched over the past two years is a huge asset. The market for pitching is horrendous.
  2. I'll just say this. Your passive aggressive BS is going to be very short lived on here.
  3. I'll speak for him and everyone. But no one on here wants your advice on how to post better.
  4. I think this dude is related to someone we are talking about. He's taking it so so personally that we have different opinions on another teams prospects it's hilarious.
  5. May be a silly question. But what the f*** is your problem?
  6. Maybe I'm the only one but I have no problem with what Getz is doing. First there's definitely an epidemic of non aggressive GMs in major league baseball. Even the aggressive ones *cough cough* Atlanta are making very minimally impactful moves. Maybe they can't meet the sales price for Cease. So what? Who's fault is that? We have the market cornered with the best asset available with 2 years in his contract. If these teams want to trade for Chris Sale with his arm about to fall off all the power to them. They'll have to answer to their owners why they got bounced out of the playoffs in the first round. Keep the asking price high because the prices for non impactful pitchers is high too. Let them make the mistakes and wait for the desperation to set it. May take it to the trade deadline.
  7. Oh hell lets not go overboard with the comparisons here. Saying he had only 1 good season too?
  8. Absolutely. Just wait for the desperation to kick in. There's 1 player for alot of pitch needy teams.
  9. This is just pure speculation. If you can't put together a team that's competitive in the remainder of Robert's contract we probably should be looking at a new General Manager.
  10. Oh then we definitely agree my apologies.
  11. You were? Good lord Monday hasn't been kind to me.
  12. The big burst works alot better for the other sports. Hell even Hockey has a good week of nonstop free agency. This sport could use a good week of dominating the news cycle. I don't think it helps anyone who's trying to make money on this league having little blips on the radar when the signings actually do happen. By the time some of these free agent signings happen the NFL Playoffs are on. Or your at the NBA/NHL Trade Deadline. Big anticipation for the very very involved baseball fans sure. For everyone else it's Ohtani. They are lucky he's a free agent. For us maybe Cease will be traded by February 1st. Sorry you don't like it when I bring up some changes a dwindling sport needs to bring. Day 1 of the Winter Meetings has been exhilarating.
  13. Jon talking about the free agent market pacing in baseball when there's almost deadlines except for opening day. It either moves slow or ultra slow. The Manny and Bryce offseason we were well into next year before any movement with those two happened. Something Baseball still hasn't fixed yet. This sport goes into hibernation for months while the other few sports never do.
  14. Typical Bob with the White Sox internal info preaching patience and waiting it out.
  15. The funny part about Trestman always to me is the guy wrote a book on leadership and couldn't lead probably one of the most talented Bears offenses in their history to anything. Brandon Marshall and Martellus Bennett pretty much gave him the middle finger during the season and he didn't do a damn thing about it. Definitely sounds familiar.
  16. I don't see how you can bring Pedro back after all of this. I know he might have been the last on the chopping block especially with the fools in the front office but he has to go. Reminds me of just a few months before Marc Trestman got let go. In that case it was players still on the team saying it anonymously to the press. You can't come back from this.
  17. I was thinking the same thing. Bob has been first on the white sox news consistently now.
  18. I think it's 50/50 right now. We'll know in just a short few months.
  19. You don't let Rick Hahn trade Robert or Cease. You let the next GM do it.
