Has anyone ever backed out of a job offer a few days after accepting it?
  3. Lmao they don't call it the biggest sports betting day of the year for nothing.
  4. Absolutely! What kind of props are you looking at.

It's a file that has documented events of your performance. Normally the only thing a former employer can answer is, "Yes this individual worked here and for this long." If they say anything negative that could affect you getting a position with another company, you can sue them for libel.

A side note. I asked my former employer about my personnel file and they were quick to initially shut me down. I hired a damn good employment lawyer and she quoted an Illinois statute that basically says you can't withhold this information from an employee. It's being sent to me via mail, so I'm curious what kind of BS is in there.

It's all good. When you are in an interracial relationship, you have to be vigilant about things like this. I took a job in the northern suburbs so I'm not going anywhere at this point. I got super lucky to find a new gig while my severance is being paid out.

Yes, sorry for the poor rhetoric. I live in the city at the moment.

I have a job prospect in Bradley, IL. Does anyone know any have any ideas for good suburbs to commute from?
  12. I've done some sports betting at the Horseshoe. In my opinion it's a sportsbook geared toward amateur and recreational bettors. If you're trying hedge a single futures, it's probably good enough for what you're trying to do. The sports betting apps are geolocated so yes you would need to be in the Indiana border to make bets until Illinois gets their shit together. Good luck!

I most likely won't sue them but I don't want anything off the table. The thing is, the release has a non-compete clause and if any work you did while you were at the company comes under an audit they can call you in to assist. Unless they change some verbiage, I am not signing it. I will have an employment lawyer look over it tomorrow just to see what my options are. I might consider it for a bigger severance package. As of right now I'm employed until the end of the month and get paid out my PTO so I have roughly two months pay no matter if I sign the release or not. As currently written yes.

A release statement from your employer. They say you're suppose to get it reviewed by a lawyer. I've looked over mine, I'm not signing it but if you don't you forfeit your severance.

Signing a release after getting laid off, yay or nay?
  16. I still think OSU loses that game. Whenever a team is kicking field goals, they deserve to lose if they don't have an elite defense.
  17. I do think it was one of those calls that should have stood whichever it was called initially.
  18. Anybody watch Mr. Robot? That series finale was one for the books if you ask me.
  19. This is not a necessary move, tell Boston to pound sand.
  20. Ryu had a better Hadouken than Ken. That's the difference between them, uppercut vs fireball.
  21. The season has been over. I don't blame the Bears for laying down to be honest.
  22. I haven't watched a Bulls game or attended a Bulls game since TT was fired.
  23. 3 and 1 is a hard on type of down for OLine men lol.
  24. Isn't that on Shrine?
