  1. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 12:04 AM) Sometimes...and then there are times when he tends to float it. I have it at average to above average at some points. What do you think his ceiling is?
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 4, 2014 -> 12:00 AM) Why? Basically the numbers say he's been incredibly lucky to have such a low ERA. He "should" have an ERA in the 4s.
  3. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 10:53 PM) I would agree if you didnt get disappointed with the rest of his pitches after watching his fastball You don't like his curve? He gets great velocity separation between fastball and changeup too, fade too.
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 11:46 PM) Based on what and how high? As I said, based on the stuff being better than a lot of people give him credit for. I think he can be an excellent #2, or a #1 on some teams, and has a terrific chance of doing just that.
  5. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 11:36 PM) Nola's upside is not high enough to draft him top 3. He'll probably be one of the first to the majors. I don't get the comments about Nola's stuff being meh. Dude sits 93-95, with a big velocity separation between that and his changeup, and a great curve. He struck out 10.5 per 9 this year. Add to that impeccable control and command, and I think his ceiling is higher than a lot of people think.
  6. Noesi has an FIP of 4.23 and an xFIP of 4.25 on the season. I'd take a continuation of that as the 5th starter.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 09:46 PM) "But..but...but he's old and been doing It for so long. He must be good!" No, he's brutal and puts you to sleep. There's a reason every booth now has 2 people in it. This isn't the 1950s. Yeah, people think the reason Scully is great is because he's old. That's why Hawk is America's second-favourite broadcaster.
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 09:37 PM) Vin Scully is truly awful. Turn him off. Get out
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 08:52 PM) Dunn being lazy lets the runner get to 3rd That was annoying
  10. Noesi getting squeezed on the high strike
  11. By far the biggest factor, perhaps the only one, was the Sox having the highest bid
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 08:26 PM) Oh my god hawk. Oh my god. Really?? What did he say, I have Vin
  13. JOSE MOTHERF*CKIN' ABREU
  14. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 08:51 PM) If be shocked if Rodon isn't the 1:1 pick. Aiken is the warm favourite for 1-1 at this point
  15. Tyler Saladino 2-3, now hitting over .300
  16. Corner outfield defence could be special tonight
  17. Matt Davidson 0-3, 2K :'(
  18. I really don't think the Sox pass on Rodon if he's there. Hahn was gushing about him in the booth during a spring training game.
  19. One thing I'm looking for out of Anderson right now is some walks. Currently walking 2.5% of the time and striking out 23.3%.
  20. Tim Anderson 2-4, 2 doubles
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2014 -> 06:34 PM) The 7 prospects above him in Keith Law's recent top 25 most be incredible I said the other day I'd take him above every prospect in baseball. Even Buxton, even accounting for defence. He's that good.
  22. Marcus Semien 1-2 with a walk and a homer Tyler Saladino 1-2 with a triple Kris Bryant homered again against the Barons *weeps*
  23. Tyler Danish 6.0, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 8K. 83 pitches. Struck out the side in the 6th. Career high in strikeouts.
  24. Andy Wilkins homer, he's been on fire over the last week or so
  25. Tyler Danish 5.0 IP, 2H, 0R, 1BB, 5K
