Glen Davis had 31 points today, and we lose to Detroit. Big rumor going around that it'll be SVG and Otis out, and in a best case scenario, Donnie Walsh and Nate McMillan in to appease Dwight.

Here's a question, will Lord Tensai be on WWE TV longer than what Mordecai was?

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 2, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) Stoked for GOT to be back, obviously more of a starter episode as not too much happened but moving along some of the story lines. Just watched it now, Joffre's got the whole "I'm a PRICK" routine down pretty well. Peter Dinklage is now the lead actor from the credits also it appears.

I'd be surprised if Ellsbury and Cabrera can re-produce what they did last season FWIW.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 29, 2012 -> 08:28 PM) Still getting used to the fact that MC and Hanley will eventually gain 3B eligibility. That makes the position slightly deeper than it would've been if the Tigers and Mets hadn't signed Fielder and Reyes. This will no doubt be Bautista's last year of 3B eligibility. After that, the only "elite" 3B are Longoria, Zimmerman and Beltre. Sandoval was great in '09, sucked in '10, and was great again last year. His weight will always be an issue. He needs to put together consecutive productive seasons before you can put him in the elite (though he's clearly in the next-tier). Aramis and Youk are good when healthy. But they've both, as I'm sure you know, spent a lot of time on the DL the last few seasons. Michael Young? Meh. He's extremely BA-dependent. He surely won't knock in over 100 runs again and he's getting up there in age. David Wright is a joke and has been in a steep decline since his monster '08. Pay-Rod looked every bit his 36 years last year and doesn't figure to get better at 37. After that? The position is awful. You better get your 3B in the first 3, maybe 4 rounds. Otherwise, you're in deep s***. DBHAO had one of the worst drafts I've ever seen. But he got it right with Lawrie. For the OF, you left out Pence, Cruz, Adam Jones, Victorino, Gordon, Hart and Berkman. We know what Beltran and Choo can do when they're healthy. Carl Crawford is one year removed from a top 10 yahoo finish. Jason Heyward is, what, 22? He sucked last year. But 2010 wasn't long ago. Guys like Upton, Young and Stubbs are average killers, but they provide power and speed. Bryce Harper will be an automatic add when he gets called up. Probably some other guys I'm forgetting. It's just a much deeper position. That's without even getting into potential injuries. If you lose a Longoria or a Zimmerman for a month, you're f***ed at that position until they get back. Scott Rolen? Mark Reynolds? Chase Headley? Those would be your replacements. You could lose a top-tier OF and have a much better chance of finding a decent replacement for the short-term (Andre Ethier and Nick Markakis, who both are going undrafted in some leagues, for example). Only if you're in a NL-only league. Haha, I'd feel bad if I didn't come last this season. Considering who I had for keepers (Asdrubal Cabrera!!!!), I had no choice to rebuild. Might as well do that with the best prospects in the game.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 10:03 AM) Amare Stoudemire has a bulging disk in his back and is out indefinitely. No plans for surgery but rehab is going to be necessary and no time estimate given. Knicks are one possible first round Chicago opponent, they're currently sitting 8th, 1 game in the loss column ahead of Milwaukee and 3 behind the Celtics for the 7th spot. Quite ironic that no-one would touch him on a Max contract because of his knees other than the Knicks, and now his back is flaring up on him for the 2nd season in a row. Buyer beware indeed.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 27, 2012 -> 06:48 AM) And Felix. DOST THOU ALL SEE WHAT HELL THEE HATH WROUGHT? The trade deadline being finished and not having to talk about Howard helps on that regard also.
-
If Toronto can get a top 3 pick in the draft with Jonas Valanciunas coming over next season also, that could be a playoff team next year. They need Bargnani to stay healthy though.
-
Wow, hopefully you had some OKC and MIN players in your Fantasy Team today.
-
Marion the Barbarian was probably my favourite NFL player of the last decade, when he was in his prime with the Cowboys he would run over and just stiff arm defenders with the best of them. Shows you how short the career of a Power Running Back in the NFL can be today though if that's all you have.
-
BTW, interested to know who would have people chosen if they had the 1st pick in the draft as I did. I was tossing up b/w Lawrie and Jay Bruce, went with Lawrie because he plays more of a premium position obviously.
-
I would have loved to read the chat as the draft was occurring, unfortunately was working and can't access Fantasy Sports on my Android Phone with a Google log-in for some reason (very frustrating). I'm going to have some interesting choices for keepers come the end of the season, that's for sure.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 07:49 PM) Ellis would have been a great fit for Orlando. The trade for Ellis was basically Bogut and Jefferson for Ellis and Udoh. I think Ryan Anderson + some other pieces could have been a better return, seeing how Bogut is never healthy. If you put Ryan Anderson next to David Lee, that would be the worst interior defensive combo in the NBA today. So I can see why the Warriors did what they did, they could have gotten more talent for Ellis but Bogut is pretty much a perfect fit for their slow-ball system IF he can stay healthy. I think Anderson will get 10M from the Nets in the off-season and the Magic will try to sign someone like KG (IIRC he's a FA after this season) for a 1 year MLE deal to replace him.
-
Well today just showed how streaky we've been all season really, and when our outside shooters aren't knocking down their jumpers, we can come up with that sort of offensive output. Desperately need a swingman who can create his own shot. Magic fans think it's about time Hedo got benched for a while also.

I'm taking over from someone's roster this season, my keepers below; Hitters: Prince Fielder Jacoby Ellsbury Pitchers: Yovani Gallardo Tommy Hanson Wildcard: Asdrubal Cabrera

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 11:55 PM) The biggest problem with Boozer is not that he's bad, it's that he's paid $15 million. If he were an $8 million player, no one would really mind the Bulls having him. That was the off-season of "The Decision" and the Bulls just had to come away with something before the Rose extension kicked in if they ever wanted to challenge the Big Boys in the East. Boozer's certainly not worth what he brings in terms of numbers, but everything you hear around the league in terms of his leadership and influence in the locker room has been top notch. I think you've definitely seen the best of him as a player though, and his numbers going down every since 07-08 pretty much reflect that.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 08:18 PM) Paul won't unless Blake is injured/Nick Young too crazy. The rest I can see, though I don't see Deron staying in NJ/Brooklyn. If I'm the Magic I'd go after Smith and Ellis of those 5. Though it should be noted: Any Super-Friends team outside of the Heat hasn't had a world shattering success. A lot depends on what the cap will be that season and if any, how much it goes up from what it is now. Smith and Ellis do make the most sense, Smith is best friends with Dwight, although if Anderson is re-signed long - term, I don't see as much of a need there. Ellis makes a ton of sense as Orlando is desperate for a 4th quarter guy who can create his own shot. If the Clips decide to keep VDN for the next season and a half, there's always hope with CP3 IMO.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 08:06 PM) What Super-Friends could they get Dwight in 2013? Chris Paul, Josh Smith, Monta Ellis and Andre Igoudala are some of the free agents in 2013 IIRC. Deron Williams also if he somehow decides to opt-in for another season now.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 07:34 PM) If someone offers me a package like Denver got for Melo, with a boatload of picks and I'm the Magic, I trade his ass. He only just increased his trade value, nothing else. Which teams are out there who've actually got the young assets and draft picks to actually come up with an offer like that though? Certainly not New Jersey after they gave away their 1st rounder today (insane trade BTW). And Dwight should have more value than Melo, much more complete player on both ends of the floor obviously. Orlando just have to try and pull off their own "Super-Friends" scenario in 2013 from here IMO.
-
So Dwight Howard opts-in for another season, and Magic fans and myself can now smile and shake their heads at 95% experts/people etc. who guaranteed he was going to Jersey or Dallas. As I said before, dumping the contracts of Richardson and Davis should be the goal until the 2013 off-season, but knowing Otis Smith if he sticks around (which is very doubtful now that Howard is staying for another season), he'd be offering the MLE to the likes of Brian Scalabrine if they were available. I wonder if New Jersey now tries to stick it to Orlando by offering Ryan Anderson say 11M a season for 5 years and daring Orlando to match it. Certainly wouldn't rule it out.
-
FWIW, I also see Nate McMillan ending up as the next coach of the Knicks if they can't get Phil Jackson. Woodson is going to have to win a playoff series in order to keep his job, and I don't see that happening.

Won't spoil the Mass Effect 3 ending, but my god what a letdown. Absolutely terrible compared to Mass Effect 2.

My god what a day. First of all props to Jarrod Rudolph from Real GM if that is indeed true, he's been fantastic to follow on Twitter and I highly recommend you do if you aren't currently, very good on the sources. Dan Fegan, karma is a b****. I was simply going to write a "I hate Dan Fegan. That is all" post an hour ago, before the latest news broke. Dwight's image has been severly tarnished with this, and his image is very important to him, he doesn't want to be seen as another Lebron and people who actually know him personally will tell you that. However there's no doubt his agent has been in his ear since the off-season trying to get to move and sign a new deal so he can simply a nice chunk of change on that. If Dwight does opt-in, Orlando simply have to acquire as many contracts that expire by next off-season as possible. And the good news is, a lot of the current roster actually do. Nelson's 8.6M a season deal finishes in 2013, Redick's 6.75M deal finishes in 2013. Turkoglu's contract I believe the final year is either a team option or 10M of it is not guaranteed, so Orlando can easily get out of that deal if they wish. Getting rid of Jason Richardson and Glen Davis would be huge keys. Richardson should be easily tradeable, Minnesota almost had him before they went down the Jamal Crawford route. Davis will be a lot harder, 6.5M a season for another 3 years, Orlando will probably have to add a 1st rounder to get out of that deal. But if they can do the above, then Orlando will have another Miami situation on their hands. The likes of Josh Smith, Monta Ellis, Chris Paul, Andre Igoudala etc. are all going to be free agents if they don't re-sign with their current team. If Orlando can have enough cap room to sign 2 of those guys, and if Dwight opts - in, I think that's going to be the best way for them to keep him long - term now. But I'll wake up in the morning and the trade deadline will just have gone past my time, so it'll be very interesting to read what actually happens. An hour ago myself and Orlando fans probably thought it was 80/20 Dwight was going to New Jersey or Houston tomorrow. Now it looks 50:50 depending on whether Rudolph is actually right. Until Dwight actually signs that waiver form though saying he won't opt out, I won't hold my breath. And if he does stay, how bad are New Jersey going to be next season? No way Deron Williams stays there, he's off to Dallas for sure.

I know it's the New York Post, but WOW;
