White Sox vs. Dodgers 6/18/05 Game Thread
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) FWIW, there's a big difference between throwing over 100 pitches and throwing 120. After 100 pitches, Garcia had only given up what 2 ER, and that was AFTER a wild 1st inning. He had retired something like the past 12 or 13 in a row. Ozzie brings a guy in to relieve him, say that guy gives up a run, he'll get crucified. He can't win. Plain and simple.

Sox Vrs Dodgers on ESPN Sunday
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) Some people apparently have different opinions of good. Like are we talking Neal Cotts good, Kevin Walker potential to be better than Neal Cotts good, or Orlando Cabrera good?

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 01:15 PM) good call kap. do what i've learned to do. stay out of gamethreads, save your aggravation with all the negative posters. But, but, but, but, but Garcia was left in for an extra inning. NOT GOOD ENOUGH OZZIE!!!!

Mike Cameron to the Yanks?
My guess is Cameron will be traded for a first baseman or some good relievers. Personally if I was Omar Minaya, I'd be going after Chad Tracy from Arizona while Tony Clark is just lighting it up.

Malone continues to shine, Liotta could be up with the Hogs soon, if there's room in the rotation for him.

Draft Signings
QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 05:34 AM) Broadway isn't a McCarthy clone, as his change really isn't as plus as his curve. Brooks was not projected to be a 2nd rounder, probably more along the lines of a 5th round pick. With Getz I keep reading Craig Counsell esque. Rote is a power reliever who hasn't harnessed his mid 90s fastball and his power slider. A project pick. On Brooks I thought that was generally the case too, but John Sickels wrote up this of him, and there was an article stating the Sox brass had him rated as a 2nd rounder;

D-Backs
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) I agree that they have solid arms in the pen but it obviously hasn't worked out very well. Do they have the worst bullpen era in baseball or am I going crazy? Losing Brandon Lyon until after the All - Star Break really killed them. Of course, Brenly overworking the likes of Oscar Villareal and Mike Koplove the seasons before that, didn't help much at all either.

Ok, you guys better let it out now. How bad was Jason with those so called "Fastballs" of his.
