I made the draft 4:15 P.M PDT, which I assumed was 3 hours before your timezone. It's at 9:15 a.m my time, which is usually about 6:15 or 7:15 over there I think.

I get the feeling the Sox only want to add 1 guy to the pen next season, and that'll be a closer, probably either Troy Percival or Armando Benitez (although I look for the Cubs to possibly sign one of these 2 as well). I think the Sox feel their bullpen is already pretty good with Takatsu, Marte, Politte, Cotts and Adkins probably coming back next season, unless one of Cotts or Adkins is possibly moved. No doubt the Sox want to sign a bonafide top starter as well, and that'll take up most of the free agent spending money. Tavarez and Cruz would be good additions though, no doubt. A lot of ppl here would like Cruz on the Southside, perhaps in a deal for Carlos Lee, with Furcal coming this way as well (although he's got major personal issues to sort out.)

If only you had said PSYCHE aftawards YASNY, the perfect comeback.

Those were my thoughts also, 1 year with a team option would be ideal. I think he'll be 40 after he finishes a 2 year deal right?

Ok, now I've moved to draft to Tuesday at 7:15 P.M, which is the best time I could make.
-
Ok I've put back the draft 2 days for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Ok I can arrange the draft for the same time later in the week then. Sorry for your loss there as well qwerty.

Short answer yes with an if..... Long answer no with a but.

I've setup the draft time for that date, if any1 in the league has any problems with this time, please let me know ASAP, so I can change the draft time.

Omar is an interesting decision to make. Frankly I don't know if he'll be able to conbtribute good numbers for more than 1 season, but I'd love to sign him for the top of the order, and his good D is another plus. Uribe and Vizquel would be a nice DP combo, IF, the price is right, Otherwise, we concentrate on pitching, which is our most IMPORTANT need.

The complete opposite of the Raiders' game last season.

I'd be very worried right now if I was Mike Sherman about my job security for the near future.

With Santana probably leaving as the 1st base coach, is there any chance maybe we could get Robin to fill that role if Baines doesn't? Or maybe we could get Robin invovled with one of the minor - league affilates.

Just saw this story on the news before, quite amazing she'd be still alive in the car after 8 days.

For those in the 1st league, when are we going to do the draft. Currently it's set for 8 a.m this Sunday, which prob ain't gonna happen. Hammerhead has suggested we do it sometime on a weeknight, so I'm all open for suggestions.

I remember catchin only bout 2 or 3 of the Dodgers' games this season, but how boring that guy was as a commentator. He was talkin bout a 5 year girl in the crowd for about 10 minutes at one point.

Call it the Leo Mazzone effect.

Various newspaper articles during the season. Because Philly's ballpark plays like the Coors Field of the NL East, they want some more groundball pitchers, and they feel Lowe would be a good addition. Of course Millwood didn't pitch at his best, and Brett Myers didn't come on as the Phillies would have liked either.

Philly and Detroit will go pretty hard after Lowe I've heard. Boston will look to resign him as well, if they can bring back their good infield D. I'll be interested to see what happens with Radke, he didn't exactly have the best playoff outing in game 2, and it'll be interesting to see if the Twinkies decide to bring him back or not.

I agree, they should pick up his option, due to their lack of pitching, and you know money won't be a problem for Steinbrenner. Let me ask this question though, if they could sign Pavano for $8 to 9 million, would they still pick up Lieber's option? They'd already have Mussina, Vasquez, El Duque (if they decide to bring him back), Brown for 4 spots in their rotation.
