Those 3 are all expensive. Edomonds won't leave St. Louis, Clemens will never leave Houston and Walker is still with the Cards for another season. It's 1 thing to say we need a difference maker, it's another thing, when we've got numerous holes in our lineup, rotation and bullpen that need to be filled first.

I doubt the Yankees would trade their best playoff hitter in order to get a whining K machine like Sosa.

Would a package of Crede and Garland be enough for Teixeira possibly, although I still definitely don't want to give up on Garland. Jason's right, if the Cubs want to move Sosa, they'll have to move very quickly. The only other 2 places that have been mentioned are Kansas City and the Mets, although I could possibly see the Giants making an offer if they miss out on a starting pitcher or an outfielder like Maggs.
