Yes, that's definitely too much. The only way I would give Lee AND Konerko, was if it was a 3 team deal and we got either a replacement for Lee or a setup / closer guy to add to the deal.

Richie Sexson could become an important part of this deal, even though he wouldn't be directly involved. If he leaves the D-Backs, suddenly Arizona could want Konerko to replace him instead of Lee. This way, if we move Konerko, Gload gets into the lineup.

It's in the main fantasy basketball thread.- Wally Backman
If Backman does get the Arizona job, it'll be interesting to see how this will possibly impact on a deal with us and Randy Johnson. Backman would have a fairly good idea on some of the prospects in this organisation.- Joey Cora
And I think I posted it before you, so take that Mr. Super. YASNY came up with a good point from one of those threads though, Cora would get killed in New York considering he has no experience in that city.- Daily Southtown Article
I could see the D-Backs wanting Lee and Crede (believe Shea Hillenbrand is a FA this offseason, correct me if I'm wrong). You throw in one of Cotts or Adkins and a prospect not name McCarthy, Anderson or Sweeney, and you could be on to something. And just say NO to Eric Milton, like the old slogan "Just say NO to Roger Cedeno".- Soxtalk League 2
I joined up as well, but now we've got 11 teams so we need 1 more, othawise u can boot me before the draft if you want.- Simpson

- Church thoughts
When I was younger my family would go to church every Sunday. At the time I hated it, couldn't stand for sitting for an hour and hearing and old man blab on about stuff I didn't know too much about. At least there was Sunday School I guess. Now we don't go to church much at all. At my old high school, we had weekly services and chapels which sort of filled the void of not going. But now that I'm at Uni, I'm starting to think about going back to Church a bit more now, although it's pretty hard since I work a lot on Sundays and don't get up very early when I don't. I will be definitely going to the Christmas service this year though.- Keith Foulke
Ah gees Alex, I was hoping that Foulke trade was going to be one of your KEY questions to KW at Soxfest.- A Realistic Lineup for Next Season
There are numerous raises and new additions to the payroll that must be taken into consideration. Garcia - $8 million Thomas - Raise of $2 million Takatsu - Raise of $1,750,000 Contreras - $8 million Garland - Raise of about $500,000 - $1,000,000 Rowand - Likely to be signed to new deal. Increase of about $3,000,000 to $5,000,000. Marte - Raise of $750,000.- Justin Verlander Signs
The #2 pick. The Tiggies were going to use the money they weren't going to use with him into their FA money. Could improve our chances of getting Derek Lowe possibly.- AFL Update #2
Even if Konerko is moved, Gload should be given a couple of years at least for the Sox, if he can produce consistently, as he did when given the chance later in the year. Another big year for Rogo next season, if he can produce in Birmingham, there's a chance we could see him with the Sox sooner than we think, especially considering Frank Thomas won't likely be back in 2006. That leaves a big hole there in the DH role, although it could go to an outfield guy like Borchard or Escobar if they can actually live up to their vast potential.- AFL Update #2
I'm very worried too about the Sox rushing Anderson. KW said in a Southtown interview, that if there was 1 more injury to an outfield guy, Anderson would have been called up. Realistically he should stay in Charlotte for 2005, and I wouldn't be fooled if he has good numbers there too much. Pretty sure it's a hitters park down in Charlotte, as evidenced by the fairly poor numbers from the pitchers down there in recent years.- Clinton wants to head UN
My question is will he have a secret porno stash at UN headquarters like he did at Camp David if he gets the gig?- Web Gem of the Year

Their numbers at the Cell together wouldn't be pretty to look at, that's for sure. But I guess in a hitters park like Citizens in Philly, Coors in Colorado and the Cell, you can win a lot of games with an ERA of b/w 4 and 5 IF you get a lot of run support.- Kris Honel Article
