One baseball official said five teams still were chasing Zambrano, but the Mets had moved near the top of the list, and the likely reason was the inclusion of coveted lefthander Scott Kazmir.

Wow, that's all I can say right now. Personally I wouldn't deal Sweeney for Floyd, I think Sweeney's going to be a hell of a player someday, much better than Floyd will be in his time here. Of course KW is not the one to wait around for someone as young and not as developed as Sweeney to come up, so that has to be taken into consideration. Personally I thought we'd might get Jose Mesa or even Rob Machiowiak, since the Twinkies aren't going to get Benson now, unless this deal really benefits us KW should stay away. I think if he tried hard enough today, he could probably get Cory Lidle or Paul Wilson without giving up Sweeney if he decided to go that route. But the question to be asked out of this is will Cliff Floyd win us this division? He's not an AL player so you'll have to take that into consideration, and he's extremely injury prone.

Sweeney should be in Birmingham next season, and has a good chance to be in Charlotte sometime later this year, unless KW gets an "ace", a stud reliever like Guardado or a great everyday player, there's NO WAY he should trade Sweeney.

Lohse and Mulholland against Garland and Shoe. 2 - Bullpen - Besides Joe Nathan and Juan Rincon, Twinkies bullpen has been overworked and it'll show soon. 3 - Center Field - Aaron Rowand is out producing Torri Hunter. 4 - Twinkies top 2 starters - Radke and Santana have been on fire in the past month. Don't forget that Santana really struggled early, and Radke wasn't at his best either, so I doubt they'll be still pitching this good at the end of the season. 5 - Paul Konerko vs. Justin Morneau - Say what you will about Morneau's power potential, it's still a risk for the Twinkies to play him everyday.
