That's why Jeremy Reed could become a very important player in the future, with his LH bat. Brian Giles would hav been nice too, but he's TRYIN to hit homers at PETCO Park without much success.
A lot of ppl forget that Mark is still very young for a starting pitcher in the majors, especially to be in the top two in the rotation. U don't get a pitcher under 25 much at all these days instantly becomin the team's ace (Mark Prior aside). I think in 10 years we'll be callin Buerhle a crafty veteran a lot like Tom Glavine. He may hav come in 2001 and won 19 games and thought baseball was pretty easy, but now he's learned that things don't go your way all the time. The Mark of 2004 has not looked like the early 2003 version of Mark Buerhle so I wouldn't worry yet. We're not out of the 1st month yet anyways.
Phoenix is a perfect example. I think they've finished building the new hockey stadium near a brand new housing area (Glendale I think it's called). There's also plenty of restaraunts and cafes nearby etc. so yeah it's created a lot of new jobs. I think they will be buildin the new football stadium near there too.
Good to see Borchard had a good night afta his prolonged slump. He's just gotta stay positive and believe things will turn round for him. Hope nothin is wrong with Meaux if he was meant to be startin. Andy Gonzalez's had a pretty good week hittin the ball as well. I'd be worried about Brian Anderson as well, hopefully it's nothing serious.
Well it won't be an offensive player, I'm pretty sure of that. They want a stud D-Lineman, Mike Williams bein barred could really hurt em, cos now Wilfork and Harris who could hav slipped to the Bears, will prob get taken earlier.
