  1. The Rise of Skywalker is trash. In retrospect, they should have let Rian Johnson write the whole thing. TLJ was divisive because Rian Johnson tried new things. The Abrams episodes were both significantly weaker films that did little. Cheap emotional moments, inexplicable resurrections, and trivial scavenger hunts damn Episode IX to the trash heap.
  2. Jason and Steve are the best White Sox pairing in my lifetime, so I'm glad he's sticking around.
  3. Honestly, if he's under contract, I don't care what he "wants". If Giolito wants him to catch, he's not going anywhere.
  4. Thinking about buying a condo in Chicago. There are some good prices at Marina City Towers. ...AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
  5. I think that's the end of it. Plus, you already have $50 million of your dollars in Robert. It would be horrible to lose him in some weird CBA thing
  6. I think there's no reason to argue about this, because the definition of bust is so loose. For some, "bust" means "not a superstar". Realistically, "bust" means a bad pick. His ceiling is high, so he won't, IMO, be a bad pick, but the question is if he'll be great.
  7. I like this assessment. He's not your prototypical "best fielder on a champion" player. Good thing Yoan Moncada is. Eloy might be. Robert should be. Good time to be a Sox fan.
  8. wow. that's I would do a number of things, legal or illegal, to make sure that infield happens.
  9. Yeah, maybe if he got the Tim Anderson treatment I would be okay with it, but I think I agree with the rest of you that a year of play might be necessary before we pay him. I don't know how "never strike out, no power" translates to the majors.
  10. Definitely, but there's no "It's absurd to keep him in the minors for a month" argument with this guy.
  11. God I hope Vaughn plays in Armour Square. I'm fairly concerned Rick will trade him away.
  12. That would be the wrong thing to do. He's project 1.7 WAR player. There's a potential reason to keep him down for a while there. The whole projection is really shaky.
  13. I'm torn on this, personally. Robert looks like a much stronger player. Do you feel the Sox should sign NM or let him play it out? If the price is right, I guess I would sign him. I'm not a money expert, but I want this board's thoughts.
  14. Not a good time to trade Vaughn. That deal sucks.
  15. Lol, Rangers 4/5 hitter from last year is batting 7-9 in this lineup
  16. Yup. It's going to be a ridiculous extension but the fact is he's likely to be worth it.
  17. Hahn has time, but this is the guy you might just have to bite the bullet and pay large sums of money.
  18. This is true, but if you believe the CBA is going to address service time manipulation, you're better off having the guy signed.
  19. Uh, they gain a year plus in this deal. The real win here though is any changes to the CBA regarding service time probably won't happen to a signed player.
  20. Rick Hahn working his contract magic. Excellent
  21. You guys are all pretty awesome. Even @Chisox378 Also, if this board had a spirit animal, it would be greg
  22. Agreed. TA should never leadoff. The guy needs to walk, otherwise a hitting slump or a BABIP correction kills your first inning and wastes your power guys.
