  1. I mean, only a few short years ago we had the worst announcer in baseball full time. Hawk after about 2007 was a trash. But to answer the original question, I don't think Jason's going anywhere for a long time.
  2. Hold your horses. If we trade prematurely we get in trouble again. I agree on free agency, though.
  3. And as much as I don't care for him, the fact that the young guys had an amazing September is a credit to the fact that they really want to play for Rick Renteria. No sign of losing the clubhouse in a pretty crappy year's end.

If Madrigal or Vaughn is traded this season, I'm guessing Kenny would have already fired Hahn and taken the GM job back.

    No offense, but that's nonsense.

Still not justification for trading Nick Madrigal or Andrew Vaughn. Especially not this offseason.

Are there that many missing pieces that we couldn't sign a good portion of them? I'll be that guy. I would rather be worse and find out what we have in the majors than trade this early. Show me improvement next year with Luis, Madrigal, and Kopech then we can talk about filling holes. And the Cubs thing was gross mismanagement. They never had any arms in the minors and it cost them dearly.

Still, that's not justification for moving a guy like Andrew Vaughn right now. He looks like the next stud after Robert
  9. Texas still has two teams which rule their respective market. The Cowboys rule much of the country (and of course overshadow the Stars, Rangers, and Mavs). The Texans by far rule Houston as well (Rockets and Astros fall short). Sort of back on topic, but we're a bit premature to say we're going to pass the Cubs on the field. As far as off the field, the Cubs will always have a bigger fanbase, but they're so damn fickle and uninterested in baseball as a whole that the White Sox fanbase is just so much more concentrated and interesting when the team is good.
  10. Harold got in, so I suppose anything is possible. I would say no, however.

Give me Eloy and Vaughn. If JR isn't going to pay anyone, we're screwed anyway. Our payroll will be low. I don't honestly believe we'll have trouble paying for a starter.
  12. We have a bilingual person who is a "manager" but I mean, he's not really a manager, lol
  13. Honestly, that's not the same. I'm not saying Spanish speaking is a requirement, but the fact of the matter is a lot of great baseball minds also happen to speak Spanish. As set up, we would benefit greatly from a bilingual manager.
  14. No way. The 80s logos are dated. It was cute for a while, but the current look is a modern classic. The 05 team wore the modern look. It should stay.
  15. Why ever move away from the old English sox logo? It's a bonafide classic. This doesn't appear to be real though. The obvious thing, of course, is the fact they keep referring to the "logo" but in reality it's a typeface or a word mark... Add to that this is posted by a draft pick and not reported by any Chicago media. I don't hate the typeface as a backup for the old English sox logo, but not permanent.
  16. Next year should be fun.
  17. His delivery is such it’s a miracle he made it this long. wish the best for him
  18. This is below Greg
  19. If we were a Luis Robert away from contention, I would maybe feel differently. However, we're not.
  20. Honestly, the stupid “they need to pull him up now” takes need to die. An extra year in a player’s prime is more valuable than a month-ish in a losing season.
  21. I expect a huge influx of hall of very good players now.
  22. This is a silly comment
  23. Please add @vilehoopster to that list. Honestly, I would throw in cash considerations to make his takes go away. Trade Andrew Vaughn? WTF
